Taj mahal which is one of the 7 wonders of the world. Which is located in Agra. This is well known. But do you know this? Burhanpur city was chosen as the first place to build the Taj Mahal.

ताजमहाल जे जगातील 7 चमत्कार पैकी एक आहे. जे आग्रा येथे स्थित आहे. हे सर्वश्रुत आहे. पण तुम्हाला हे माहीत आहे का ? की ताजमहाल बांधण्यासाठी पहिली जागा ही म्हणुन बुरहानपूर या शहराची निवड झाली होती.

Story of Black Taj mahal

Emperor Shah Jahan who built Taj Mahal. He built the Taj Mahal in memory of his beloved wife. That wife is Mumtaz Begum. Of which Burhanpur was Maher. Every woman’s favorite place in the world is Maher. Therefore, Burhanpurla was first preferred by Emperor Shah Jahan.

ताजमहालची निर्मिती करणारा बादशाह शाहजहान. याने ताजमहाल ची निर्मिती आपल्या आवडत्या पत्नीच्या स्मरणार्थ केली होती. ती पत्नी म्हणजे मुमताज बेगम. महाराणी मुमताज बेगम ह्या त्यांच्या मृत्यू वेळी शहा जहांन सोबत बुरहानपुरला येथेच होत्या. यावेळी बादशहा हे दख्खन दौऱ्यावर होते. पुढे असेही सांगितले जाते की Burhanpur हे मुमताज बेगम che माहेर होते. प्रतेक स्त्रीचे जगातील सर्वात आवडते ठिकाण म्हणजे माहेर असते. त्यामुळे बादशहा शहा जहांन यांनी बुरहानपुरला पहिली पसंती दर्शवली होती.

Why Taj Mahal could not be built in Burhanpur ? ताजमहाल बुरहानपुरला का बनू शकले नाही ?

Burhanpur was an economically strong historical city. Because of this, his relationship with the royal family made burhanpurla more important politically. Despite this, the region is not suitable for building a structure like the Taj Mahal. There were two main reasons for this.

• 1) The geographical situation was not that spectacular
• 2) The Taj Mahal was to be built entirely of marble. There was a shortage of such stone near Burhanpur. Also there is no mine around. So Taj mahal could not be built in Burhanpur.

बुरहानपूर हे आर्थिक आणी ऐतिहासिक दृष्ट्या एक सबळ शहर होते. त्यावरून त्याचे राजघराण्यातील असलेले संबंध त्यामुळे burhanpurla राजकीय दृष्ट्या अधिक महत्व आले होते. असे असूनही येथील प्रदेश ताजमहाल सारखी वास्तू बनवण्यासाठी अनुकूल न्हवता. याची प्रमुख दोन कारणे होती. 1) भौगोलिक परिस्थिती ही तेव्हढी प्रेक्षणीय न्हवती 2) ताजमहाल हे पूर्णपणे संगमरवर दगडांपासून बनवण्यात येणार होते. burhanpur जवळ अश्या दगडाची कमी होती. तसेच सभोवताली ही कोणताही खाण न्हवती. त्यामुळे Taj mahal बुरहानपुरला बनू शकले नाही.

Replica of Taj mahal – Black Taj Mahal and current situation

This place is one of the best examples of Mughal architecture. Although the Taj Mahal could not be built at Burhanpur, a replica of the Taj Mahal was built here in black stone in memory of the Begum. Although it is not as big as tajmahal, it can be seen from a distance. It looks like a black Taj Mahal. Hence, this black stone work of art may have been given the name Black Taj Mahal. At present this building is in good condition. Apart from the surroundings, the building does not seem to lack any renovations. Only the road to reach here is very narrow. If the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Department works for, this beautiful structure will become an attraction for most of the tourists.

जरी ताज महाल हे बुरहानपूर येथे बनू शकले नाही तरी बेगमच्या आठवणी साठी काळ्या दगडामध्ये ताज महालची प्रतिकृती येथे बनवण्यात आली. आकारमानाने tajmahal येवढी नसली तरी दुरून पाहता. ब्लॅक ताजमहाल असल्या सारखी भासते. म्हणुन या काळ्या पाषाणाच्या कलाकृतीला काळा ताजमहाल असे नाव देण्यात आले असावे. सध्या ही वास्तू ही सुस्थितीत आहे. सभोवतालच्या परिसर जर सोडला तर इमारतीत कोणत्याही डागडुजीची कमी भासत नाही. फक्त येथे पोहोचण्याचा रस्ता हा फार लहान आहे. मध्यप्रदेश पर्यटन विभागाने या साठी काम केल्यास ही सुंदर वास्तू बहुतांश पर्यटकांचे आकर्षण ठरेल.

Mumbai to Burhanpur Black Taj mahal bike ride road trip

Mumbai to Burhanpur bike ride was one of our interstate bike rides. For this we planned a two day and night road trip. After leaving the office as planned, Sameer and I left for Nashik from Mumbai. We reached Nashik in the middle of the night via Bhiwandi Kasara and we decided to reach Dhule as we were not able to sleep. Further we pitched our tent between Malegaon and Dhule.

मुंबई ते बुरहानपूर बाईक ride ही आमची एक आंतरराज्य बाइक राईड पैकी एक होती. यासाठी आम्ही दोन दिवसाचा रात्रंदिन रोड ट्रीप चा प्लॅन केला. ठरल्याप्रमाणे ऑफिस सुटल्यावर मी आणी समीर मुंबई वरुन नाशिक च्या दिशेने निघालो. भिवंडी कसारा मार्गे आम्ही मध्यरात्री नाशिकला पोहोचलो अजून तशी झोप आली न्हवती म्हणुन आम्ही धुळे गाठायचे ठरवले. पुढे मालेगाव आणी धुळे दरम्यान आम्ही आमचा तंबू लावला.

दोन तीन तास झोप घेऊन आम्ही पुढच्या प्रवासाला निघालो. पुढे जळगाव भुसावळ मार्गे burhanpurla पोहोचलो. मग आम्ही map द्वारे black tajmahal शोधू लागलो. तेथील असलेल्या अनेक रस्त्यांमुळे google map प्रतेक सेकंदाला वेगळा रस्ता दाखवत होता. संपूर्ण वस्ती ही मुस्लिम समाजाची वाटत होती. तेथे घरोघरी कापडाचा व्यापार चालत असावा. 20 ते 25 मिनिटांच्या fherfatkya नंतर आम्ही black tajmahal la पोहोचलो.

After parking the bike outside, we started going inside the building. The person nearby asked us beware from thief not to put any luggage on the bike. Like that we entered through the main gate with all our belongings. Upon entering, an amazing piece of art was seen in front. It was Black Tajmahal.

बाहेर बाइक पार्क करून आम्ही इमारती मध्ये जाऊ लागलो. जवळ असलेल्या व्यक्तीनी आम्हाला कोणतेही सामान बाइक वर न ठेवण्यास सांगितले. त्या प्रमाणे आम्ही आमचे सर्व सामान सोबत घेऊन मुख्य दरवाज्यातून आत प्रवेश केला. आत गेल्यावर समोर एक अप्रतिम कलाकृती दिसली. ती होती Black Tajmahal.
