Personal Experience

I visited this place with one Group bike ride.

Which is organized by the zizi group. Total 11 riders including me started from Mumbai at 6:30 am.

While going we choose via Bhivandi route and while retaining we came from Aatgaon route.

When we reach Tansa lake at 9:30 am. We read many boards about information and restrictions. it’s a forest area So time restrictions for outsiders, vehicles are not allowed after 6:00 pm. The view of Tansa Lake was very beautiful especially a small island the in middle of the Lake.

How to reach

There are three routes to visit Tansa Lake from Mumbai.

1) Via Bhiwandi – Wada shahapur road. 80 km

2) Via Aatgaon = 91 km

3) Via Vajreshwari = 94 km.

Tips and Guidance

It’s a forest area so manage your visit in between morning 7:00 am to evening 6:00 pm.

There are very narrow roads and local vehicles doing very rough driving so be careful.

Many potholes and blind spots at the Left side of the road near the pipeline so keep your vehicle on road.
