Information – about Kas pathar
A good place for nature lover just 25 to 30 km away from Satara city. Season to visit in Kas pathar is winter August to October. This place is made by volcanic effect so the soil produce more more than 100 types flowers and grasses at Kas pathar Valley. Which is different than regular flowers, So it’s become World Heritage site.
सातारा शहरापासून अवघ्या 25 ते 30 किमी अंतरावर निसर्गप्रेमींसाठी उत्तम ठिकाण आहे. कास पठारला भेट देण्याचा हंगाम हिवाळा ऑगस्ट ते ऑक्टोबर असतो. हे ठिकाण ज्वालामुखीच्या प्रभावाने बनलेले आहे त्यामुळे कास पाथर खोऱ्यात मातीत 100 पेक्षा जास्त प्रकारची फुले आणि गवत पाहावयास मिळते. जे नेहमीच्या फुलांपेक्षा वेगळे आहे, म्हणून हे जागतिक वारसा स्थळ बनले आहे.
It cover around 8 to 10 km area. Entry fee charges is Rs. 100/-, This is a reserve forest so undertaking by forest department. You can book your tickets online. I will provide you a link at below.

Personal Experience – Bike ride
Mumbai – Pune to Kaspathar travel Guide
We visited this place while my Satara bike ride for this we had chosen this Route – Mumbai -Lonaval – Pune – Vadhe fata (Satara) – Kaspathar. We started our ride at 11:00 after dinner and we reached near Panvel within hours time. Then we move towards old Mumbai Puna highway our next stop was Dehu bypass road, The road to Satara was very good and neat as it was Pune – Bangalore highway. we reached near Satara at early morning and take rest for few hours. after that we took a right turn before Satara city near Vadhe fata and move towards Kas Pathar.
सातारा बाईक राईड करत असताना आम्ही या ठिकाणी गेलो होतो त्यासाठी आम्ही पुढील मार्ग निवडला होता – मुंबई -लोणावळ – पुणे – वधे फाटा (सातारा) – कासपथर. रात्रीचे जेवण करून आम्ही रात्री 11:00 वाजता आमच्या राईडला सुरुवात केली आणि काही तासातच आम्ही पनवेलजवळ पोहोचलो. मग आम्ही जुन्या मुंबई पुना हायवेकडे निघालो आमचा पुढचा स्टॉप होता देहू बायपास रोड होता. साताऱ्याचा रस्ता पुणे-बंगलोर हायवे असल्याने खूप चांगला आणि नीटनेटका आहे. आम्ही पहाटे साताऱ्याजवळ पोहोचलो आणि काही तास विश्रांती घेतली. त्यानंतर आम्ही सातारा शहरासमोर उजवे वळण घेत वढे फाट्याजवळ कास पठाराच्या पाथरच्या दिशेने निघालो.
Scenic view on the way – Road trip
Kaspathar is just 30 km away from us. on the way we came across many mountain, We saw the very nice view of Kanher dam so we enjoy some curvy roads after riding in ghat we reached the top of the mountain, which is the part of Sahyadri mountain range Kas Pathar.
कासपठार आमच्या पासून फक्त 30 किमी अंतरावर होते. वाटेत आम्ही अनेक डोंगर ओलांडून आलो, कण्हेर धरणाचे अतिशय सुंदर दृश्य आम्हाला दिसले त्यामुळे आम्ही काही वळणदार रस्त्यांचा आनंद घेत घाट चढून आम्ही डोंगराच्या माथ्यावर पोहोचलो, जो सह्याद्रीच्या पर्वत रांगेचा भाग आहे.
Entry fees and Parking
We already booked our tickets online it’s help us lot. I am sharing link in tips and guidance. Parking is available but far away from the venue almost 1.5 km. So we move towards parking area and we park our bikes at Parking Very large space created for Parking. Buses is available from parking area to Kas pathar.

We saw there are two gates available on both sides of the road so we asked other people who just returned from the gate. Some of them checked both spots. They suggest gate number 2, so you can see more flowers as you walk down this road. As per their suggestions we move towards gate Number two. At Security check post, Security guards asked us for an entry pass so we showed our online tickets. After authentication they allow us to enter.
आम्ही पाहिले की रस्त्याच्या दोन्ही बाजूला दोन दरवाजे उपलब्ध होते. म्हणून आम्ही इतर लोकांना विचारले जे नुकतेच गेटवरून परत येताना दिसले. काहींनी दोन्ही ठिकाणे तपासली होती. त्यांनी आम्हास गेट क्रमांक 2 सुचवले, तुम्ही या रस्त्यावरून जाताना अधिक फुले पाहू शकता. त्यांच्या सूचनेनुसार आम्ही गेट क्रमांक दोनकडे निघालो. सिक्युरिटी चेक पोस्टवर, सुरक्षा रक्षकांनी आम्हाला प्रवेश पास मागितला म्हणून आम्ही आमची ऑनलाइन तिकिटे दाखवली. प्रमाणीकरणानंतर ते आम्हाला प्रवेश करण्यास परवानगी देतात.

The heaven of flower – Kas Pathar
As we entered we saw a flat surface with fill with multicolor flowers on both sides look like a colorful carpet kept on the floor. The atmosphere is so pleasant and cool. We enjoyed and fall in love with this beautiful nature.
Kas pathar haven of the flower. Several factors are responsible for such a beautiful place because of cool Climate and a geographical location. We all know basic flowers which regularly available in all seasons. so we very much surprised after seeing more than 100 types of flowers and grasses.
Have you ever seen silver flowers? The silver color flower, I saw this in Kas pathar, first time in my life. Many other shapes and colors available just like Mickey Mouse’s shape. Yellow, pink, purple, multiple colors available on one flower.
Somewhere we fill that haven me be like this. What a color, what a quantity, It’s unbelievable truth. Nature is a magician he spread unlimited colors around us. We have to take care that by heart.

- Visit this place in the middle of the September
- Sunrise and sunset impact on flower so better visit atlist two hours before Sunset
- Food facilities is not available at Kaspathar so better to prepare in advance
