The reason behind the name of Manik doh. Doh = Natural deep space which fills with water and Manik = One of the Nine Ratna which use in costly ornaments. We heard the story that Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj dropped Manik Ratna costly ornaments for a safety reason in this Place which they earn from Surat.

Many Leopard gets injured due to these man-made troubles. As well as sometimes they injured while hunting or fighting with another animal. Forest departments take this as an oppurtinity to save wildlife. They start a Leopard rescue center where they admit that injured leopard for treatment. After successful treatment, they send back those animals to the forest.
