About Shiv Samarth gad
Shiv = Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Samarth = Shri Swami Samarth Maharaj Gad = Fort so this place is an example of the best architecture with the combination of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Life story and related statue. It fills like a real fort and all people related to the fort. Horses, Elephants, Horse riders, a village people and many more. Hight of the statue is as good as real-life characters.

Personal experience

We were visited twice. Once while my bike rides Sadguru darshan and other with my family. One of my friend told me about these places, As I am a follower of Shri Swami Samarth Maharaj so I include this place in my trip plan.

We reach this place at 5 pm it’s around 3 to 5 km from Mumbai goa highway as soon as we entered in Dervan village. We saw village was very clean and clear after riding half km more we reached Shiv Samarth gad. The overall area looks like a fort and many horses and soldiers statue available around the fort they look like a real Mavla (soldiers) statue were look, just like a real person.


In the entrance we saw a big wooden door just like a real fort door. To elephant statue standing in front in the front of the main door to welcome us. There is a small door which is part of the big main door.

We entered inside the gad and we saw the whole life of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and the important incident of his life which was captured with the help of realistic statue it starts from the birth of Shivaji Maharaj, swears at raireshwar Afzalkhan and Shivaji Maharaj Meet, night war with Shahistekhan, realise from agara and Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Rajaybhishikh.

Bhavani Mata mandir
After that, we visit the Bhavani Mata temple. In the entrance, a big statue of Bhavani Mata giving a Bhavani sward to Shivaji Maharaj. Ramdas Swami and Tukaram Maharaj were also available in the temple. After darshan, we move towards Swami Samarth Mandir (Temple)

Goshala,
we saw many cows in Goshala. The proper RCC structure just like a home they build this structure for cows and the cleanness is very good.

Shree Swami Samarth Temple

After Goshala we reach Swami Samarth Temple there are two temples in the big hall one is the guru Mauli temple and the other is the Shri Swami Samarth temple. Both temples are designed identical and the example of the best architecture.

Palkhi Sohla & Rath Sohala

This is a lucky day of my life because unexpectedly. we got a darshan of Swami Samarth Maharaj Palhaki sohala and Rathasohla. I fill that Shri Swami Samarth waiting for us because as soon as we reach within a 15 min time rathasohla event been started and the person allow us to capture this beautiful movement of our life.

Food court & Stay at Shiv Samarth Gad

Food Court is available near parking area. It’s type of Self service. Stay is available at Dervan but I suggest that you check places either in Chiplun or in Ratnagiri.
