I’m here again with yet another blog on Gautala wildlife Sanctuary the best location and adventurous place near Aurangabad for a fun ride and drive. In this blog I will share my personal experience with images route plan, tips, things to do, how to reach, nearby places to visit, distance from other cities, so it will help you as Travel Guide to plan your trip.

Information

Gautala meaning, Gau = Cow and tala = Lake. This area is famous for neelgai. Also the local people send their domestic animals like cow for grazing at this place. So this  so this place named as Gautala.

गौताळ म्हणजे गौ = गाय आणि ताला = तलाव. हा परिसर नीलगायीसाठी प्रसिद्ध आहे. तसेच स्थानिक लोक गाईसारखे पाळीव प्राणी या ठिकाणी चरायला पाठवतात. त्यामुळे या जागेला गौताळा असे नाव पडले.

Autramghat = Autram was an English officer who search this Ghat route and forest. So this place is also known as Autramghat.

Autramghat = औट्रम हा घाट मार्ग आणि जंगल शोधणारा इंग्रज अधिकारी होता. त्यामुळे या ठिकाणाला औट्रमघाट असेही म्हणतात.

The nearby place to visit is Sita Madhi, an ancient structure, is believed to have been built during the Ramayana period. When Goddess Sita, Lord Rama and Lakshmana were sent into exile. He built this place for Goddess Sita. In Sitamadi you will also find old stone bathrooms. It is a perfect example of unique architecture.

जवळच असलेली सीता मढी, ही पुरातन वास्तू, रामायण काळात बांधली गेली असे मानले जाते. देवी सीता, भगवान राम आणि लक्ष्मण यांना वनवास (वनवास) पाठवण्यात आले तेव्हा . त्यांनी हे स्थान देवी सीतेसाठी बांधले. सीतामडीमध्ये तुम्हाला दगडांनी बनवलेले जुने स्नानगृहही दिसेल. हे अद्वितीय वास्तुकलेचे उत्तम उदाहरण आहे.

You can enjoy night stay in this forest, for this you have to take prior permission from forest officer. तुम्ही या जंगलात रात्रीच्या मुक्कामाचा आनंद घेऊ शकता, यासाठी तुम्हाला वन अधिकाऱ्याची पूर्वपरवानगी घ्यावी लागेल.

Gautala wildlife Sanctuary is located in Aurangabad District, Maharashtra, India. Some part of Gautala is coming under Jalgaon district. This is also known as Autramghat Sanctuary. This is a reserved forest area part of Western Ghats also known as knnnad prant.

गौताळा वन्यजीव अभयारण्य हे महाराष्ट्रातील औरंगाबाद जिल्ह्यात आहे. गौताळ्याचा काही भाग जळगाव जिल्ह्यांतर्गत येतो. याला औट्रमघाट अभयारण्य असेही म्हणतात. हा पश्चिम घाटाचा एक राखीव वनक्षेत्र आहे ज्याला knnnad prant असेही म्हणतात.

Personal Experience of Bike ride and Travel Guide – बाईक राइड आणि ट्रॅव्हल गाईडचा वैयक्तिक अनुभव

Gautala is a small tawn, We visited this place while our Aurangabad bike ride. We 7 Riders started from Mumbai. It was a night ride so all riders were very excited to explore new place. I was the planner, so I explained all routes related information and meeting spots to riders. We were fully covered with safety gears which is our slogan “No Gears No ride”*

गौताळा हे छोटे गाव आहे, आम्ही  मुंबई ते औरंगाबाद मोटरसायकलने  प्रवास करतेवेळी या ठिकाणी पोहोचलो. आम्ही 7 रायडर्सने मुंबईपासून सुरुवात केली. ही एक रात्रीची राइड होती त्यामुळे सर्व रायडर्स नवीन ठिकाण शोधण्यासाठी खूप उत्सुक होते. मी नियोजक होतो, म्हणून मी सर्व मार्गांची माहिती आणि मीटिंग स्पॉट रायडर्सना समजावून सांगितले. आम्ही पूर्णपणे सुरक्षा गीअर्सने सुरक्षित होतो.  जे आमचे घोषवाक्य आहे “नो गिअर्स नो राइड”*

7 Riders of Gautala bike ride

Mumbai to Gautala Autramghat route – मुंबई ते गौताळा औट्रमघाट मार्ग

While planning, We choose Mumbai – Agra highway via Nashik – Vinchur – Yevala via Manmad – Chalisgaon and Gotala. नियोजन करताना, आम्ही नाशिक – विंचूर – येवळा मार्गे मनमाड – चाळीसगाव आणि गोताळा मार्गे मुंबई – आग्रा महामार्ग निवडला.

While On the way back, We choose the Aurangabad route and cover many other places just like Aurangabad, Kailash caves, Shirdi. We enjoyed the total ride and reached Mumbai in early morning so we can attend our office in regular time.

परतीच्या वाटेवर, आम्ही औरंगाबाद मार्ग निवडला आणि औरंगाबाद, कैलास लेणी, शिर्डी सारखी इतर अनेक ठिकाणे कव्हर केली. आम्ही एकूण राइडचा आनंद घेतला आणि सकाळी लवकर मुंबईला पोहोचलो जेणेकरून आम्ही आमच्या ऑफिसमध्ये नियमित वेळेत उपस्थित राहू शकू.

Camping – Night Stay in Tent

As we are bike riders, We always carry our tent. so we can enjoy our ride without limitation of time. In this ride we set our tent just near to Gotala wildlife Sanctuary near one Temple. We reached this place in early morning at 3:30 am. We took 4 hours sleep. After that we made our own breakfast Sandwich and Maggie. We enjoy food and our camping. After that we move towards Gotala wildlife.

आम्ही बाईकस्वार असल्यामुळे आम्ही नेहमी आमचा तंबू घेऊन जातो. त्यामुळे आम्ही वेळेच्या मर्यादेशिवाय आमच्या राइडचा आनंद घेऊ शकतो. या राईडमध्ये आम्ही आमचा तंबू गौताळा वन्यजीव अभयारण्याजवळ एका मंदिराजवळ लावला. पहाटे साडेतीन वाजता आम्ही या ठिकाणी पोहोचलो. आम्ही ४ तासांची झोप घेतली. त्यानंतर आम्ही आमचा नाश्ता सँडविच आणि मॅगी बनवला. आम्ही अन्न आणि आमच्या कॅम्पिंगचा आनंद घेतो. त्यानंतर आम्ही गोटाळ्याच्या वन्यजीवाकडे निघालो.

When we reach in wildlife Sanctuary we saw a big gate with heading of The name Gautala Wildlife Sanctuary. On the gate there are many images and design of wild animals. Inside the gate their one more bord which indicate animals available at this forests.

Leopards, Wolfe, forest cat, fox, Tigers, deer, bears, Nyghau, Neelgai, peacock, eagle, kite, bears, Bharadwaj, monkey and many more…

Beautiful Ghat and Warer fall.

After this small ghat was started, a very beautiful ghat with a very short turn. We enjoy cornering, after climbing ghat we found one small dam and waterfall.

We saw some people are swimming in that water. One of our rider Sachin was a good swimmer. He check over all water and depth. After his confirmation we enjoyed swimming.

Tips and Guidance – Travel guide

  • You can try both routes Via Nashik and via Aurangabad, so you can explore more places.
  • Be careful while roaming in the forest area. Avoide early morning or late night ride in such places
  • There was no food facility available around 30 to 40 km. So be prepare.
  • If you plan for two or more days trip or ride you can cover many more places just like Ajanta, Ellora, Aurangabad, Shirdi.
  • Road condition – Some bad patches in the aurangabad route, Nashik route is more smooth.
  • Entry time is 9:00 Am to 5:00 Pm
  • No one take any charges from us

How to reach Gautala wildlife Sanctuary

To reach Gotala, If you travel by public transportation you have to visit chalisgaon. Hotels are available in Chalisgaon you can stay at Aurangabad also.
