Most of the billionaires in Lavasa have built their own prestigious and spacious second house. Also known as Lake City. The fun of riding a motorcycle in the rain is something different experience. So we plan to visit Lavasa in monsoon.

पावसात मोटरसायकल चालवण्याची मजा काही वेगळीच असते. त्यामुळे पावसाळ्यात लवासाला भेट देण्याचा आमचा विचार आहे.

This time we are two riders started from Mumbai via Old Mumbai Pune highway, Lonavala – Kamshet and reached near Prati Shirdi by traveling overnight. We book one room just Rs. 400 for night stay, because we want to visit Lavasa in early morning.

यावेळी आम्ही दोघे रायडर्स मुंबईहून जुना मुंबई पुणे हायवे, लोणावळा – कामशेत मार्गे निघालो आणि रात्रभर प्रवास करून प्रती शिर्डीजवळ पोहोचलो. आम्ही एक रूम फक्त रु. रात्रीच्या मुक्कामासाठी 400, कारण आम्हाला पहाटे लवासाला भेट द्यायची होती.

We visit Pati Shirdi and Birla Ganesh mandir in morning which was on the way to Lavasa. Then we started our next journey towards Lavasa citi. We were excited Because the whole atmosphere was cloudy. It was raining profusely thereof road was full of mud so we were experiencing off-roading.

आम्ही लवासाच्या वाटेवर असलेल्या पाटी शिर्डी आणि बिर्ला गणेश मंदिराला सकाळी भेट देतो. मग आम्ही लवासा शहराच्या दिशेने पुढचा प्रवास सुरू केला. आम्ही उत्साही होतो कारण संपूर्ण वातावरण ढगाळ होते. मुसळधार पाऊस पडत होता, त्यातला रस्ता चिखलाने भरलेला होता त्यामुळे आम्ही रस्त्यावरून जाण्याचा अनुभव घेत होतो.

When we left the main road and went to the inner road The road was very short and small but surrounding Cold environment and Nature were rejoicing our mind.

मुख्य रस्ता सोडून आतल्या रस्त्याला गेलो तेव्हा रस्ता खूपच छोटा आणि छोटा होता पण आजूबाजूचे थंड वातावरण आणि निसर्ग मनाला आनंद देत होता.

Onion Bhaji and Tea

The fun of eating onion bhaji and tea in the rain is every once choice even so we take small break near one hotel and enjoyed onion bhaji tea and Pithala Bhakari with thecha. It was hot and tasty.

पावसात कांदाभजी आणि चहा खाण्याची मजा ही प्रत्येक वेळी निवडली जाते, तरीही आम्ही एका हॉटेलजवळ छोटा ब्रेक घेतो आणि कांदाभजी चहा आणि पिठल्या भाकरीचा आस्वाद ठेचासोबत घेतला. ते गरम आणि चवदार होते.

Tandoori tea – तंदुरी चहा

It’s a different tea making process which is a tourist attraction. They use clay pots and boiled tea till it overflows. All this work was done in a coal-fired furnace. So the taste of tea is very different. Try once you would definitely like.

Lavasa Entrance & Entry fees _

An hour later we reached Lavasa. The town of Lavasa looks very beautiful from the hill. We got little traffic to reach Lavasa City. We were stopped at the main gate for security checking and entry fees. They charge us Rs. 200/ bike. We asked them other rate also Rs. 500 for four-wheeler and Rs.1000 for minibus or other big vehicle.

तासाभराने आम्ही लवासाला पोहोचलो. टेकडीवरून लवासा शहर खूप सुंदर दिसते. लवासा सिटीला जाण्यासाठी आम्हाला कमी रहदारी मिळाली. सुरक्षा तपासणी आणि प्रवेश शुल्कासाठी आम्हाला मुख्य गेटवर थांबवण्यात आले. ते आमच्याकडून रु. 200/ दुचाकी. आम्ही त्यांना इतर दर देखील विचारले. चारचाकीसाठी 500 आणि मिनीबस किंवा इतर मोठ्या वाहनासाठी 1000 रु.

Lavas is a private city. So public transport is not available you have to take your own vehicle. Helipad is also available at Lavasa. लवासा हे खाजगी शहर आहे. त्यामुळे सार्वजनिक वाहतूक उपलब्ध नसल्याने स्वत:चे वाहन घ्यावे लागते. लवासा येथे हेलिपॅड देखील उपलब्ध आहे.

• Route 1
  • Mumbai to Pune route via old Lonavala highway = 185 Km
  • If you want to go via express highway than you have to take exit at Urse to cover Prati Shirdi
• Route 2
• Via a Mumbai-Goa route via Tamhini Ghat = 241 Km
  • You can chose khalapur pali route also, Its more scenic due to forest.
• Route 3 Unknown route
• Mumbai to Lavasa via Lonavala – Ambivali or Lion hill – Mulshi
  • Ambivali is again a private city if you dont have entrance pass than you can chose one other route
  • One bypass road is available from Lion hill to Mulshi but Its totally off-Road which connect to Mulshi taluka.
