I went through Kashedi Ghat many times because from my childhood I used to travel from Mumbai to our village, from same route. It is also the only option to go from Mumbai to Goa via Konkan.

Last time I visited this place while my Kumbhe – Pachad bike ride. I started from mumbai and go through internal kumbhe, pachad route via Raigad fort and reached Poladpur.
मागच्या वेळी मी कुंभे – पाचाड बाईक राईड दरम्यान मी ठिकाणी गेलो होतो. मी मुंबईपासून, कुंभे, पाचाड, रायगड किल्ला मार्गे पोलादपूरला पोहोचलो.

You may have heard many Ghosts story of Kashedi ghat. Many people spread rumors about Ghost. As per my personal experience, I gone through Kashedi ghat many in mid-night in between 12:00 am to 4:00 am during my various bike ride and Solo ride . I never ever experience such things surrounding me. Yes their are wind flow due to Hight of mountain which sound some time so many people scared.
कशेडी घाटाच्या अनेक भुताच्या कथा तुम्ही ऐकल्या असतील. अनेक लोक भूताबद्दल अफवा पसरवत आहे. माझ्या वैयक्तिक अनुभवानुसार, मी माझ्या विविध बाईक राईड आणि सोलो राईड दरम्यान मध्यरात्री 12:00 ते पहाटे 4:00 या वेळेत कशेडी घाटातून गेलो. माझ्या सभोवतालच्या अशा गोष्टी मी कधीच अनुभवल्या नाही. होय ते पर्वताच्या उंचीमुळे वारे वाहत आहेत ज्याचा आवाज कधीतरी थोडा चित्त थरारक असतो त्यामुळेही लोक घाबरतात.

घाटाच्या माथ्यावर स्वामी समर्थ मंदिर आहे. आम्हाला स्वामिनी सांगितले आहे की काळजी करू नकोस, मी तुझ्या पाठीशी आहे, तर मग आम्ही कशाला घाबरू. हा रस्ता सुद्धा राष्ट्रीय महामार्ग असल्याने प्रत्येक मिनिटाला कशेडी घाटातून वाहने जात असतात. त्यामुळे घाबरण्याचे काहीच कारण नाही.

Traditional house in Konkan at Kashedi Ghat
I stopped for a while at a bend in the valley to saw the beautiful view of Kashedi Ghat. Kaularu houses and coconut trees seen from there so it was was a model of a traditional house in Konkan.

And being a Swami devotee, I immediately decided to go there To reach you, you have to visit at Kasali Bungalow From there The monastery is just five minutes away.
स्वामी समर्थ मठ कशेडी घाट हा कशेडी घाटाच्या माथ्यावर असलेला स्वामी समर्थांचा मठ आहे. माझ्या मित्राने मला या जागेबद्दल माहिती दिली. आणि स्वामी भक्त असल्याने मी लगेच तिथे जाण्याचे ठरवले तुमच्यापर्यंत पोहोचण्यासाठी तुम्हाला कसाली बंगला येथे भेट द्यावी लागेल तिथून मठ फक्त पाच मिनिटांच्या अंतरावर आहे.
Swami Samarth’s Math has been built in a beautiful structure. A hall is built on the ground floor where spiritual activities take place. After climbing a few steps, I reached the first floor There is a grand hall On the other side of the sabhamandap is the door of Swami’s temple. Therefore, the idol of Swami can be easily seen from the assembly hall.
स्वामी समर्थांचा मठ सुंदर रचनेत बांधला आहे. तळमजल्यावर एक हॉल बांधला आहे जिथे अध्यात्मिक क्रियाकलाप होतात. काही पायऱ्या चढून मी पहिल्या मजल्यावर पोहोचलो, सभामंडपाच्या दुसऱ्या बाजूला स्वामींच्या मंदिराचा दरवाजा आहे. त्यामुळे सभामंडपातून स्वामींची मूर्ती सहज दिसते.

- If you like more travel and scenic view I recommend one new route via Mangav Nijampur route so you can cover Kumbhe waterfall, Pachad, Raigad fort on the way.
- Best time to visit in Monsoon or Winter August to March
- There are many water fall on the road so you can enjoy the same
- Food court will be available on the way near kashedi police station so you can enjoy Maharastrin food > Missal Pav, Zunka Bhakar, Thecha, Onion bhaji and many delicious food
- Swami Samarth math is an religious place so they celebrate all festival specially Datta jayanti and Swami jayanti.
- There is no such time restriction or entry fees as such, but try to visit during 1o am to 6 pm.
