Personal Experience
The first long trip after taking my Bike was to Alibag. I visited this place with my family. After that I visit this place many time while going towards Murud.
This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva.
Rameshwar रामेश्वर
Rameshwar is the God of Rama. This word has been prevalent since Ramayana. Lord Shiva was worshiped by Rama. And build a Shivling during his invasion of Lanka. The God of Rama is Shiva Shankar (Lord Shiva). So After that In many places Shiva temples were named as Rameshwar.
रामेश्वर म्हणजे रामाचा ईश्वर आहे हा शब्द अगदी रामायण पासून प्रचलित झाला आहे. रामाने लंकेवर स्वारी करण्याच्या वेळी शिवलिंग बांधल्याने त्यांची पूजा केली होती. रामाचा ईश्वर म्हणजे साक्षात शिवशंकर. त्यानंतर बरेच जागी शिव मंदिरांना रामेश्वर हे नाव देण्यात आले.

There is a magnificent lake in front of the temple. This lake is known as Kunda. This tank contains water for twelve months. Stairs are provided on all four sides to descend into the pool.

सभोवतालचा निसर्ग रम्य परिसर
मंदिराच्या समोर एक भव्य असा तलाव आहे. याला कुंड असे म्हटले जाते. या कुंडात बाराही महिने पाणी असते. हे कुंड चौरसाकृती आहे चारही बाजूने कुंडा मध्ये उतरण्यासाठी पायऱ्या दिल्या गेल्या आहेत.
मंदिराच्या शेजारी असलेले नारळाचे आणि सुपारीच्या झाडांनी अवघा परिसर हा मंदिराच्या सौंदर्यात अजून भर टाकतो.

मंदिराची रचना एखाद्या कौलारू घरा सारखे वाटते अगदी साध्या आणि सुबक पद्धतीने आटोपशीरपणे मांडलेले एक अप्रतिम वास्तू आहे.
मंदिराच्या समोरच्या बाजूला दोन दीपमाळा असून त्याच्यासोबत एक तुळशीवृंदावन आहे. कोणत्याही उत्सवाच्या वेळी ह्या दीपमाळा प्रज्वलित केल्या जातात आणि त्याचा देखावा अगदी डोळे दिपवून टाकणारा असतो.

- This place is near to Alibaug so you can cover in one day from Mumbai.
- If you like more travel and scenic view I recommend one new route via Mandava Ferry or Reva’s ferry.
- Best time to visit in Monsoon or Winter August to March
- There are many Beaches on the road so you can enjoy the same
- The food court will be available on the way near Alibaug and Nagav so you can enjoy Seafood as well as Maharastrin food > Missal Pav, Zunka Bhakar, Thecha, Onion bhaji, and many delicious foods
- Rameshwar Temple is a religious place so they celebrate all festivals specially Mahashivratri, Shravan Somvar, Nagpanchami.
- There is no such time restriction or entry fees as such, but try to visit from 1o am to 6 pm.
- You can visit many places of Raigad, Ratnagiri district one of the nearby District.
- Nearby is Nagaon Beach where you can enjoy water sports. Banana Ride, hours riding, 🐪 ride

Nearest citi is Alibaug sp you will get local transport from Alibaug or you can get state transport bus Alibaug to Murud route near Revdanda.
You can also use RORO ferry service Mumbai to Madva of Boat service from Gate way of India to Mandva and Revas
