This time my niece had also accompanied me. Wearing the helmet, eye protection, jacket, gloves, pants, boots, knee pads, and whatnot, we were ready for our ride. Although by wearing all these gadgets, she felt as if she was a knight on a war mission. Yet I had to make her wear it as we bikers should look after our safety while riding. And we were off to alibaug at sharp 6:00 in the morning.
यावेळी माझ्यासोबत माझी भाचीही आली होती. हेल्मेट, डोळ्यांचे संरक्षण, जॅकेट, हातमोजे, पॅंट, बूट, गुडघ्याचे पॅड आणि व्हॉटनॉट घालून आम्ही आमच्या राईडसाठी तयार होतो. ही सगळी गॅजेट्स घातली तरी ती युद्ध मोहिमेवरची नाइट असल्यासारखी वाटत होती. तरीही मला तिला ते घालावे लागले कारण आम्ही बाइकस्वारांनी सायकल चालवताना आमच्या सुरक्षेची काळजी घेतली पाहिजे. आणि आम्ही सकाळी सहा वाजता अलिबागला निघालो.

We reach Bhaucha Dhakka at around 7:45am and boarded the Roro at 7:50am, after the ticket checking. IT was huge and massive. All covered with hundreds of vehicles and people boarder on it. After parking the bike in the parking area, we went in the sitting area. It had 2 floors with an open balcony and open ceiling.
आम्ही सकाळी 7:45 च्या सुमारास भाऊचा धक्का येथे पोहोचतो आणि तिकीट तपासणीनंतर सकाळी 7:50 ला रोरोवर चढलो. आयटी प्रचंड आणि प्रचंड होते. सर्व शेकडो वाहनांनी झाकलेले आणि त्यावर चढणारे लोक. पार्किंग एरियात बाईक उभी करून बसल्या जागी गेलो. त्यात खुली बाल्कनी आणि खुली छत असलेले 2 मजले होते.

The breezy, cool winds flowing all over. The atmosphere was so refreshing and peaceful. On the ship, in the vast sea, at the nearest to the heaven, uffffff what else do you want! We, all the people on the boat were enjoying the weather and the rains, but all of a sudden heavy rains and stormy winds started flowing.
गार वारा सगळीकडे वाहतोय. वातावरण खूप प्रसन्न आणि शांत होते. जहाजावर, अफाट समुद्रात, स्वर्गाच्या अगदी जवळ, उफ्फफ्फ अजून काय हवं! आम्ही, बोटीवरील सर्व लोक हवामान आणि पावसाचा आनंद घेत होतो, पण अचानक जोरदार पाऊस आणि वादळी वारे वाहू लागले.
Hullabaloo! Such a huge boat was shaking with those stormy, gigantic winds. People had to hold on to something so that they don’t get blown away. It was a super fun experience. We also had flag hosting done on the RoRo. And this is how our RoRo trip came to an end in about an hour. We even visited the restaurant in RoRo. It was a total class, I must say!
हुल्लाबलू! एवढी मोठी बोट त्या वादळी, अवाढव्य वार्‍याने थरथरत होती. लोकांना काहीतरी धरून ठेवले पाहिजे जेणेकरून ते उडू नयेत. तो एक सुपर मजेदार अनुभव होता. आम्ही RoRo वर फ्लॅग होस्टिंग देखील केले होते. आणि साधारण तासाभरात आमची RoRo सहल अशीच संपली. आम्ही RoRo मधील रेस्टॉरंटला देखील भेट दिली. तो एकूण वर्ग होता, मी म्हणायलाच पाहिजे!

We alighted at Mandwa Port Alibaug at about 9:00am. Hunger was stabbing in our stomach. About 2-3 km away from Mandwa Port we stopped to have our breakfast. We had some super yummy Bhajiyas, Upma, and Vada pav. After having a super heavy breakfast, we moved ahead on our trip.
आम्ही मांडवा बंदर अलिबाग येथे सकाळी 9:00 च्या सुमारास उतरलो. आमच्या पोटात भुकेने वार केले होते. मांडवा बंदरापासून सुमारे 2-3 किमी अंतरावर आम्ही नाश्ता करण्यासाठी थांबलो. आमच्याकडे काही सुपर यम्मी भज्या, उपमा आणि वडा पाव होता. खूप भारी नाश्ता करून आम्ही आमच्या सहलीला पुढे निघालो.
Tips and Things to do
- The Ro-Ro ride can get you from Mumbai to Mandwa near Alibaug in less than 60 minutes
- As opposed to the 3.5 hours or longer it takes by road.
- Gates of the ferry are closed prior 15 mins to departure. Air-Conditioned waiting rooms are available for passengers at Ports.
- The RoRo ferry 200 cars, 15 buses, and 1200 passengers
- RoRo Boat Alibaug Prices will be changed in the coming next 3 months by Maharashtra Maritime Board. RoRo Service is available during monsoon.

Tickets price
Launch phase were passengers needs to pay Rs.300 per person and accommodate at any place on the deck (general, air conditioned and luxury class). 2 Wheeler price is Rs.200, Small car price is Rs.800 and XUV’s is Rs.1200. Prime car price an go up to Rs.1800 when checked on 17th March 2020.
