कळसूबाई
Kalsubai is the highest peak of Maharashtra’s Ahmednagar district in Akola taluka. The summit height of the Sahyadri mountain ranges in the north is 1646 meters (or 5400 feet). It is known as the Everest of Maharashtra. Kalsubai Shikhar is situated on the border of Ahmadnagar and Nashik districts.
कळसूबाई हे अकोला तालुक्यातील अहमदनगर जिल्ह्यातील सर्वोच्च शिखर आहे. उत्तरेकडील सह्याद्री पर्वत रांगांची शिखर उंची 1646 मीटर (किंवा 5400 फूट) आहे. हे महाराष्ट्राचे एव्हरेस्ट म्हणून ओळखले जाते. कळसूबाई शिखर अहमदनगर आणि नाशिक जिल्ह्यांच्या सीमेवर वसलेले आहे.

Personal Experience of Kalsubai peak Trek
I’m Madhvi, just a couple of days ago, successfully reached the summit of Kalsubai. had, climbing the hill, from the base to the top.
We start the trek, from this point. It takes about 2-3 hours to reach the peak. The greenery and the surroundings are pleasing to the eyes. People here are super friendly and always ready to help.

This is an important point in the whole Kalsubai trek. Trekkers start putting up their tents from this very point.
• People who cannot climb till the top, turn back from this point.
• Unavailability of parking facility, as there’s no proper road after the starting point.
As the adventure goes on, you find resting spots with some snacks stalls, at intervals of 15-20 minutes. You don’t need to carry much food and water, as you get it on your way to the top, though the rates start gradually increasing as you go higher and higher.

The variety of Flowers is vast as you go higher. It’s absolutely beautiful how you get to see some new flowers that you never even thought, existed.

Trek Planning
The Trek is divided into 3 steps:
First step: (easy) it takes about an hour to complete the first step.
• Second: Railing (difficult) Railings are narrow and there are people climbing up and down at the same time, leading to some delay, taking about 1and half an hour to 2 hours.
• Third: Rocky (moderate) trekking shoes suggested. it takes about 1 hour to complete the third step and reach the summit.

As you climb closer towards the peak, the visibility decreases according to the season.

Tips and Things to do Kalsubai Trek
Best time to visit
End of Monsoon or winter September to February is best time to visit Kalsubai.
Be careful while rainy seasons, due to Mud and slippery surface climbing became more dangers.
Be aware of monkeys, keep your baggies in safe place.
Food facilities
snacks stalls, at intervals of 15-20 minutes. You don’t need to carry much food and water,
Carry as less as less luggage, it will help you while climbing.
If you are a beginner you should came with experience group or people.
