Korlai fort was built by the Portuguese. Which was renamed by Marathas as per Village name Korlai. Located on Alibaug – Murud road next to Revdanda. In this blog, we will share our personal experience and travel tips to which help you as a Travel Guide.

Fort

While heading towards the Kashid beach, we saw a beautiful hill. And the inner curiosity in us woke up. We were like what is it exactly and what does it stands for. And in a sudden moment we decided to visit the place. We asked the passer by, about what the hill exactly stands for? We had guessed it right. It was a fort!

काशीद बीचकडे जाताना एक सुंदर टेकडी दिसली. आणि आमच्यातली आंतरिक उत्सुकता जागृत झाली. ते नेमके काय आहे आणि रस्ता नक्की कोठे जातो अशी उत्सुकता मनात दाटली आणी एका क्षणात आम्ही त्या ठिकाणाला भेट देण्याचे ठरवले. आम्ही तिथून जाणार्‍याला विचारले, टेकडी म्हणजे नक्की काय? आम्ही बरोबर अंदाज केला होता. तो एक किल्ला होता!

This is how we got fortuned to visit this amazing place. Moving towards the fort was creating absolute excitement in us.

अशा प्रकारे आम्हाला या अप्रतिम ठिकाणी भेट देण्याचे भाग्य लाभले. गडाकडे वाटचाल केल्याने आमच्यात कमालीचा उत्साह निर्माण झाला होता.

On the way to korlai fort

Roads: The road was very narrow. It was a one way road. It was muddy and slippery too. Hence if the tourist wants to visit this fort, they should be very good in driving in the mountainous region. While visiting this place one must only go with small four wheelers and two wheelers. As, bigger and heavier vehicles create a problem on those narrow roads.  Besides this the positive part is it had huge green mountains on the right side and deep dark blue sea on the left side.

रस्ता खूपच अरुंद होता. तो एकेरी रस्ता आणी चिखल सोबत निसरडाही होता. त्यामुळे पर्यटकांना या किल्ल्याला भेट द्यायची असेल तर त्यांनी डोंगराच्या nimulatya आधी गाडी पार्क करायला हवी. या ठिकाणी जाताना लहान चारचाकी आणि दुचाकी वाहने घेऊन जावे. मोठ्या आणि जड वाहनांमुळे त्या अरुंद रस्त्यावर समस्या निर्माण होतात. याशिवाय सकारात्मक भाग म्हणजे उजव्या बाजूला मोठे हिरवे पर्वत आणि डाव्या बाजूला खोल गडद निळा समुद्र आहे.

Light House is located at the foot hill of Korlai fort, They allowed visitors to explore this place. This light house is made sailors to indicate directions. It beautiful place.

लाइट हाऊस कोरलाई किल्ल्याच्या पायथ्याशी टेकडीवर आहे, त्यांनी अभ्यागतांना हे ठिकाण शोधण्याची परवानगी दिली. हे लाईट हाऊस दिशा दाखवण्यासाठी खलाशी बनवले आहे. सुंदर जागा आहे.

Scenery: Usually we cant find sea and mountains at a same place. But here there was a different case.

देखावा: सहसा आपल्याला एकाच ठिकाणी समुद्र आणि पर्वत सापडत नाहीत. पण इथे वेगळेच प्रकरण समोर आले.

• Less know the place so less crowded try to explore in weekdays
• Be careful while driving on Korlai road due to the very narrow road and side safety walls are not available.
• Parking is available near Light House
• Avoide big vehicle just like a minibus
• You can do photography near beach, rocks surface
• You can visit Light house
• Lighthouse to the fort is There is a very steep climb so be careful.
• कमी गर्दीचे ठिकाण आहे त्यामुळे आठवड्याच्या दिवसात एक्सप्लोर करण्याचा प्रयत्न करा.
• अतिशय अरुंद रस्ता आणि बाजूला सुरक्षा भिंती नसल्याने कोर्लई रस्त्यावर वाहन चालवताना काळजी घ्या.
• लाइट हाऊसजवळ पार्किंग उपलब्ध आहे.
• मिनीबससारखे मोठे वाहन टाळा.
• तुम्ही समुद्रकिनारी, खडकांच्या पृष्ठभागाजवळ फोटोग्राफी करू शकता.
• तुम्ही लाइट हाऊसला भेट देऊ शकता.
• गडावर जाण्यासाठी दीपगृह आहे तिथे खूप खडी चढण आहे त्यामुळे काळजी घ्या.
