Dear team, This is an holy place near Amboli hills. We visited here during summer Holliday days. Me and some local friends plan to visit Chaloba forest. It is the village deity in the surrounding quadrangle. People come here to light a lamp after their wedding or before the next festival celebration.
आंबोली डोंगराजवळील हे पवित्र ठिकाण आहे. उन्हाळ्याच्या सुट्टीच्या दिवसात आम्ही इथे गेलो होतो. मी आणि काही स्थानिक मित्रांनी चालोबाच्या जंगलात जाण्याचा बेत आखला आहे. आजूबाजूच्या चौथऱ्यातील ग्रामदैवत आहे. लग्नानंतर किंवा पुढच्या सणाच्या आधी लोक येथे दिवा लावण्यासाठी येतात.
On one side of this forest is the region of Konkan called Chowkul Amboli and on the other side is the Radhanagari wildlife sanctuary. The place was also the favorite place of Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj. In our reign they come here for forests inspection and wildlife experience.
या जंगलाच्या एका बाजूला चौकुळ आंबोली नावाचा कोकणचा प्रदेश आहे आणि दुसऱ्या बाजूला राधानगरी वन्यजीव अभयारण्य आहे. हे ठिकाण छत्रपती शाहू महाराजांचेही आवडते ठिकाण होते. आमच्या कारकिर्दीत ते येथे जंगल निरीक्षणासाठी आणि वन्यजीवांच्या अनुभवासाठी येतात.
Personal Experience
Dark green forest, We started walking from main road Sawantwadi Kolhapur road Near Gawse Sugar factory. As soon as we started walking towards, first, we saw a Colony of sugar factory workers. Forest is started just behind the colony.

After walking around 10 minutes, actual thrill started a real forest – Dark forest, In starting point we saw The grey junglefowl. also here sound of male grey jungle fowl who invite his partner. The sound of nightingales and There was less sunlight coming to the ground. Dense bushes on all four sides.
सुमारे 10 मिनिटे चालल्यानंतर, खऱ्या थ्रिलने खऱ्या जंगलाला सुरुवात केली – गडद जंगल, सुरुवातीच्या बिंदूमध्ये आम्हाला ग्रे जंगलफॉल दिसला. आपल्या जोडीदाराला आमंत्रित करणार्‍या नर राखाडी जंगली पक्ष्याचा आवाज देखील येथे आहे. नाइटिंगेलचा आवाज आणि जमिनीवर कमी सूर्यप्रकाश येत होता. चारही बाजूंनी दाट झाडी.
After walking for some time from here, we saw a very large Dung appeared, Our knowledgeable congregations said it was an elephant from Karnataka often come here. We also saw some scratches on trees, we asked our guide. He told us that many Bison.
