Srisailam is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas. श्रीशैलम हे स्थान बारा ज्योतिर्लिंगांपैकी एक आहे. An important thing about this place is that the entire family of Lord Shiva resides here. Due to the combination of Jyotirlinga and Shakti Peetha, this place has a unique significance.

The story of Shri Ganesh’s marriage in the Puranas is prevalent. In this Ganpati and Kartik Swami want to complete the circumnavigation of the earth. Even after completing the circumnavigation of the earth, due to the intellect of Lord Ganesha, Kumar Kartik Swami has to give up. So angry, Kumar Kartikeya Swami goes to Srisailam mountain. In order to visit him, Lord Shiva appears there in the form of Jyotirlinga. Mother Parvati appears there as her power. And after them Lord Ganesha comes to Srisailam. Due to this, Shiva family has come together at Srisailam after Mount Kailash.

पुराणातील श्री गणेश विवाह ची कथा सर्वांना प्रचलित आहे. यामध्ये गणपती आणि कार्तिक स्वामी यांना पृथ्वी प्रदक्षिणा पूर्ण करायची असते. पृथ्वी प्रदक्षिणा पूर्ण करून आल्यानंतरही भगवान गणेशाच्या बुद्धिचातुर्या मुळे कुमार कार्तिक स्वामींना हार पत्करावी लागते. त्यामुळे रागावून कुमार कार्तिकेय स्वामी हे श्रीशैल पर्वतावर निघून जातात. त्यांची भेट घेण्यासाठी साक्षात भगवान शिव ज्योतिर्लिंग स्वरूपात तेथे प्रकट होतात. माता पार्वती ही आपल्या शक्ती रूपात तिथे प्रकट होते. आणि त्यांच्या मागोमाग भगवान गणेश श्रीशैलम येथे येतात. यामुळे कैलास पर्वता नंतर श्रीशैलम येथेच शिव परिवार एकत्र आला आहे.

मल्लिका = देवी पार्वती हिला देवी भ्रामरंबा  आणी अर्जुन = भगवान शंकर यांना संबोधले जाते, या दोघांची मंदिरे एकाच तटबंदी मध्ये पण वेगवेगळी आहेत.

Enterence of Malikarjun temple

Photography is prohibited here. There are three types of queues to enter the temple. Simple queues, fast queues and very fast queues. It is also forbidden to carry any kind of cellphones and luggage in the temple, so there is a facility near the entrance to keep them safe. For this, tax is levied by the temple administration.

येथे फोटोग्राफी करण्यास मनाई आहे. मंदिरात प्रवेश करण्यासाठी तीन प्रकारच्या रांगा आहेत. साधी रांग, शीघ्र रांग आणी अति शीघ्र रांग. तसेच कोणत्याही प्रकारचे सेलफोन आणि सामान मंदिरात घेऊन जाण्यास मनाई आहे त्यामुळे त्यांना सुरक्षित ठेवण्यासाठी प्रवेशद्वाराजवळ सोय केली आहे. त्यासाठी मंदिर प्रशासनाकडून कर आकारणी केली जाते.

We entered the temple in just fifteen to twenty minutes inside the temple from Shigar Range. First Mallikarjun visited Jyotirlinga. The temple was clean and well furnished. The windows of the temple were covered with brass. The inside and the surrounding area were adorned with gold ornaments. I was very happy to see Mallikarjuna’s charming face.

आम्ही शिग्र रांगेतून मंदिराच्या आत अवघ्या पंधरा ते वीस मिनिटात आम्हाला मंदिरात प्रवेश मिळाला. प्रथमता मल्लिकार्जुन ज्योतिर्लिंगाचे दर्शन घेतले. मंदिर स्वच्छ आणि सुसज्ज असे होते. मंदिराच्या खिडक्यांची तावदाने यांच्या साठी पितळेचा वापर करण्यात आला होता. आतला मखर आणि आजूबाजूचा भाग हा सुवर्णालंकारांनी सजवलेला होता. मल्लीकर्जूना चे मनमोहक रूप पाहून प्रचंड आनंद झाला.

Leaving Mallikarjun’s temple, we went to the nearby temple of Mother Parvati, Mother Shakti. We painted again and took darshan of Bhramaramba Devi. The idol of the goddess was very small but enticing and the radiance of the idol looked even brighter due to the proper use of jeweled diamonds and rubies on it.

मल्लिकार्जुन च्या मंदिरातून बाहेर पडून आम्ही जवळच असलेल्या पार्वती मातेच्या, माता शक्तीच्या मंदिराकडे गेलो. पुन्हा छोटीशी रंग लावून आम्ही भ्रामरंबा देवीचे दर्शन घेतले. देवीची मूर्ती अगदी लहान पण लोभसवाणी होती आणि त्यावर रत्नजडित हिरे माणिक यांचा योग्य वापर केल्यामुळे मूर्ती चे तेज अजून तेजस्वी दिसत होते.
