We first went to Bhimashankar during our bike ride with my friend Rakesh. After that visited once again with our family. Both experiences were beautiful and memorable. We also enjoyed camping here. मी भीमाशंकर येथे पहिल्यांदा माझ्या बाइक राइड दरम्यान गेलो होतो. त्या नंतर कुटुंबाच्या सोबत येथे भेट दिली. दोनही अनुभव अगदी सुंदर आणी लक्षात राहण्याजोगे होते. आम्ही येथे कॅम्पिंग चा आनंद ही घेतला त्या बद्दल पुन्हा कधी सांगेन.

Information about Bhimashankar

Bhimashankar is the source of the river Bhima. In India, rivers are considered to be replicas of the Ganges, and the river Ganga originates from the tributary of Lord Shiva, so the temple of Lord Shiva is found at the source of most rivers. At Bhimashankar, there is a real Jyotirlinga. Which is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas in India.

भीमाशंकर हे भीमा नदीचे उगम स्थान आहे. भारतात नद्यांना गंगेचे प्रतिरूप मानले जाते आणी गंगा नदी भगवान शंकराच्या जटेतून उगम पावते त्यामुळे बहुतेक नद्यांच्या उगम स्थानी भगवान शंकराचे मंदिर आढळते. भीमाशंकर येथे तर प्रत्यक्ष ज्योतिर्लिंग स्वरुपात विराजमान आहेत. जे भारतात असलेल्या बारा ज्योतिर्लिंगापैकी एक आहे.

The river Bhima further becomes Chandrabhaga in the shape of Crescent in Pandharpur, giving the bliss of holy bath to the devotees and devotees of Vithoba. Later Shri Kshetra visited Datta Prabhu at Gangapur and later reached Telangana and merged into the river Krishna. Here the river Krishna is also known as the Patalganga.

भीमा नदी ही पुढे पंढरपुरात चन्द्रकोरी च्या आकारात चंद्रभागा बनून विठोबाच्या चरणी ,अखंड वारकरी आणी भक्तांना अभ्यंग स्नानाचा आनंद देते. पुढे श्री क्षेत्र गाणगापुर येथे दत्त प्रभूचे दर्शन घेऊन पुढे तेलंगणा येथे पोहचून कृष्णा नदी मध्ये विलीन होते. येथे कृष्णा नदी ही पाताळ गंगा म्हणुन ही ओळखली जाते.

Story of Bhimashankar Jyotirlinga

The Bhima demon, the son of a demon named Kumbhakarna, fought a war with all the deities to avenge his father’s murder. After defeating Indra and other deities, he declared war on King Soodakakshan and imprisoned him.

In captivity, King Soodakshan made a Shivling and started worshiping it. As soon as Bhima Rakshasa came to know about this, Bhima Rakshasa tried to destroy that Shivling. At that time Lord Shiva appeared there and in an instant he burnt the demon and at the request of the devotees he was installed here in the form of Jyotirlinga.

भीम राक्षस हा कुंभकर्ण या राक्षसाचा मुलगा आपल्या पित्याच्या वधाचा प्रतीशोध घेण्यासाठी सर्व देवतांशी युद्ध पुकारले. इंद्र आणी इतर देवतांना हरवल्या नंतर त्यांनी राजा सूदकक्षण यांच्याशी युद्ध पुकारून त्यांना बंदिस्त केले. बंदिवासात राजा सूदकक्षण याने शिवलिंग बनवून त्याची पूजा करू लागला. हे भीम राक्षसाला कळताच, भीम राक्षसाने ते शिवलिंग उद्वस्त करण्याचा प्रयत्न केला. त्या वेळेला भगवान शिव तेथे प्रकट झाले आणी त्यांनी क्षणार्धात राक्षसाला भस्मसात केले आणी भक्तांच्या आग्रहाखातर येथे ज्योतिर्लिंग स्वरुपात स्थापित झाले.

Bhimashankar Wildlife Sanctuary is also here and so many climbers come here for trekking. Surrounded by scenic beauty and dense forests, this area is reviving wildlife. Situated on the Sahyadri mountain range, Bhimashankar cannot live without attracting tourists. The shekharu here is famous for big in size squirrel. Bees and their hives are found in large numbers here. There are various forest herbs. It rains a lot here. Due to this, the forest grows in the rain even with green trees. Therefore, in the rainy season and in winter, a large number of tourists come here. As it is a mountainous area, small and big waterfalls can be seen everywhere.

भीमाशंकर वन्यजीव अभयारण्य सुद्धा आहे आणि त्यामुळे बरेच गिर्यारोहक इथे ट्रेकिंगसाठी येतात. निसर्गरम्य सौंदर्य आणि घनदाट जंगलाने व्यापलेला हा परिसर वन्यप्राण्यांना नवसंजीवनी देत आहे. सह्याद्रीच्या पर्वतरांगा वर वसलेले भीमाशंकर ठिकाण पर्यटकांना आपल्याकडे आकर्षित केल्याशिवाय राहत नाही. येथील शेकरू ही खार प्रसिद्ध आहे. येथे मधमाश्या आणी त्यांचे पोळे मोठ्या प्रमाणावर आढळतात. विविध वन औषधी वनस्पती यांचे भांडार आहे. मुख्यत्वे करून येथे पाऊस फार मोठ्या प्रमाणात होतो. त्यामुळे मुळे हे जंगल पावसात अगदी हरित वृक्षांनी बहरून येते. त्यामुळे पावसात आणी हिवाळ्यात येथे पर्यटक मोठ्या प्रमाणात येतात. डोंगर भाग असल्यामूळे जागोजागी छोटे मोठे धबधबे ही पाहायला मिळतात.
