नमस्कार मित्रानो आज आपण डहाणू येथील प्रसिद्ध महालक्ष्मी मंदिराला भेट देणार आहोत. मुंबईतील महालक्ष्मी पाठोपाठ डहाणू येथील महालक्ष्मी मंदिर भाविकांनमध्ये प्रसिद्ध आहे. डहाणू हे गाव मुंबई अहमदाबाद या शहरांमधील जवळपास महाराष्ट्रातील शेवटचे तालुक्याचे गाव आहे. कोल्हापूरची महालक्ष्मी माता म्हणजेच अंबाबाई स्वतः येथे येऊन विसावली आहे असे सांगितले जाते.

Mahalaxmi temple Dahanu

There are two temples of Goddess Mahalakshmi here. One at the foot of the mountain and the other on the hill.

येथे महालक्ष्मी देवीची दोन मंदिरे आहेत. एक डोंगराच्या पायथ्याशी आणी दुसरे डोंगरावर.

To reach the temple at the top of the hill, one usually has to cross 900 steps. As it is a tribal area, the priests and the executive are mainly members of the tribal community. Here the flag is hoisted on a 600 feet high cone above the temple. It is said that only one person who carries Goddess in his body comes here waving the flag. You have to reach early morning to visit here.

डोंगराच्या वरती असलेल्या मंदिरात जाण्यासाठी साधारणपणे 900 पायर्‍या पार कराव्या लागतात. हा एक आदिवासी रहिवाशी असलेला भूभाग असल्याने येथील पुजारी आणी कार्यकारी मंडळ मुख्यत्वेकरून आदिवासी समाज बांधव आहेत. येथे मंदिरावरील असलेल्या तब्बल 600 फुट उंच सुळक्यावर ध्वजारोहण करण्यात येते. असे म्हणतात की अंगात देवी चा संचार झालेला केवळ एकच व्यक्ती येथे ध्वज फडकावून येतो.

The temple at the foot of the hill is facing toward temple on a hill. This temple may have been built during the Mahabharata period. In the past, the temple was made of wood, which has been renovated on 64 strong pillars, making it a perfect example of architectural art. In it, there is a huge idol of Goddess Mahalakshmi. Also included are Ganesha, Lord Shiva and other deities. The lighting of the temple is worth seeing.

पायथ्याशी असलेले मंदिर हे जणू डोंगरावर असलेल्या मंदिरा कडे पाहत आहे अशाप्रकारे बनवण्यात आले आहे. हे मंदिर साधारण महाभारत कालीन बनवले असावे. पूर्वी हे मंदिर लाकडाचे होते ज्याचा जीर्णोद्धार करून 64 मजबूत खांबांवर वास्तू कलेचे उत्तम उदाहरण बनवले आहे. यामधे शेंदूर चर्चित भव्य अशी श्री देवी महालक्ष्मी मातेची मूर्ती आहे. आणी सोबत गणेश, भगवान शिव आणी ईतर देवी देवतांचा समावेश आह़े. मंदिराची रोषणाई ही पहाण्या सारखी आहे.

It is said that by being pleased with the devotion of the devotees from Gujarat. Goddess Mahalakshmi from Kolhapur decided to go to Gujarat. At that time, while walking, a demon blocked the way of Goddess near Sonali village. At that time, after defeating the demon, the goddess lived on the peak at Dahanu.

असे सांगीतले जाते की, गुजरात कडील भक्ताच्या भक्तीला प्रसन्न होऊन. कोल्हापूरच्या महालक्ष्मी देवीने गुजरात प्रांतात जाण्याचे ठरवले. त्यावेळी मार्गक्रमण करताना सोनाली गावा जवळ एका राक्षसाने देवीचा रस्ता रोखला. त्यावेळी राक्षसाला पराभूत करून देवीने डहाणू येथील शिखरावर वास्तव्य केले.

महालक्ष्मी मंदिर आख्यायिका

The Pandavas were living in this area during the exile of the Pandavas. At that time, one night while Bhima was doing Brahman, the mother decided to test Bhima by appearing as a beautiful woman. Bhim was fascinated by that beautiful face. And he proposed marriage to that beautiful woman. At that time, the goddess placed a condition on Bhima. If Bhima builds a dam overnight and diverts the river Surya to this village, Bhima’s wish will be fulfilled.

As Bhim was a superpower, he completed the construction in the middle of the night. But before that the goddess took the form of a hen. The bell rang and Bhima felt like it was morning and the work was not done. In this way the goddess quenched the thirst of the people of the village and made Bhima proud.

पांडवांच्या वनवासात पांडव या भागात राहत होते. त्यावेळी एका रात्री भीम रात्री ब्रम्हण करत असताना, मातेने सुंदर स्त्रीच्या रुपात प्रकट होऊन भीमाची परीक्षा घेण्याचे ठरवले. त्या सुंदर रूपाला पाहून भीम आकर्षित झाला. आणी त्याने चक्क त्या सुंदर स्त्रीला लग्नाची मागणी घातली. त्यावेळी देवीने भीमाला एक अट घातली. जर का भिमाने एका रात्रीत एक बांध घालून सूर्या नदी चा मार्ग या गावाकडे वळवायला लावला तर भीमाची इच्छा पूर्ण होईल.

भीम महाशक्ती शाली असल्याने त्याने अर्धा रात्रीत बांधकाम पूर्णत्वास आणले. पण ततपुर्वी देवीने कोंबड्याचे रूप घेऊन. बांग दिली आणी भीमाला असा भास झाला की सकाळ झाली आणी काम पूर्ण झाले नाही. अशाप्रकारे देवीने गावातील लोकांची तहान भागवली आणी भीमाचे गर्वहरण केले.

Personal experience

For many days I wanted to visit the Mahalakshmi temple at Dahanu. But yoga did not fit. The plan came suddenly that day. And we left Mumbai at 3:00 in the evening. We reached the temple around 8:00, making two more stops along the way. So it was a great visit. At the bottom of the main statue is the main stone. Since the crowd was small, the priest there showed us that rare stone.

The fine color scheme, as well as the fine architecture and the electric lighting around the temple were dazzling to our eyes.

बरेच दिवसापासून डहाणू येथील महालक्ष्मी मंदिरात जाण्याची इच्छा होती. पण योग जुळून येत नव्हता. त्यादिवशी अचानकच प्लान झाला. आणी आम्ही संध्याकाळी 3:00 वाजता मुंबईहुन निघालो. रस्त्यामध्ये येणारी दोन आणखी ठिकाणे करत आम्ही 8:00 च्या सुमारास मंदिरात पोहोचलो. त्यामुळे फार छान दर्शन झाले. मुख्य मूर्तीच्या तळाशी मुख्य पाषाण आहे. गर्दी कमी असल्याने तेथील पुजार्‍याने आम्हास त्या दुर्मिळ पाषाणाच दर्शन घडवले.

उत्तम रंगसंगती, तेवढीच उत्तम वास्तू कला आणी मंदिराभोवती असलेली विद्युत रोषणाई आमचे डोळे दिपवणारी होती.

  • If you want minimum crowd then visit in evening after 7:00 pm
  • You can plan one day picnic along with Dahanu beach or Jawahar hill station.
  • Food courts:- There are some hotels near temple but you will get more options on highway near Charoti
  • Accomadtion :- Temple has their Dharmashala as well as you can get good options near Mumbai Ahmedabad highway.

How to reach Mahalaxmi temple dahanu travel guide

You can get state transport buses from Dahanu railway station. The temple is just 5 minutes away from the Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway.

डहाणू रेल्वे स्टेशन पासुन आपणास स्टेट ट्रान्स्पोर्ट च्या बसेस मिळू शकतील. मुंबई अहमदाबाद महामार्गावरून अगदी 5 मिनिटांच्या अंतरावर हे मंदिर आहे.
