The real benefit of the road trip was realized during our Mr. Shailom trip. We took darshan of Akkalkot Shri Swami Samarth Maharaj and headed towards Shailum. By then it was four o’clock in the evening, we had started our journey towards Hyderabad. Picked up a slightly new route as usual. It was late at night.

रोड ट्रिपचा खरा फायदा हा आमच्या श्री शैलम ट्रीप दरम्यान समजून आले. आम्ही अक्कलकोट श्री स्वामी समर्थ महाराजांचे दर्शन घेऊन शैलम च्या दिशेने निघालो. तोपर्यंत संध्याकाळचे चार वाजले होते, आम्ही हैद्राबाद च्या दिशेने प्रवास सुरू केला होता. नेहमी प्रमाणे थोडा नवीन रस्ता निवडला. एव्हाना रात्र झाली होती.

Suddenly, at a bend, a flash of light and a magnificent idol of Lord Shiva appeared. It was so magnificent that it could be easily seen from a distance of half a kilometer. We parked our car in front of the temple and immediately started visiting.

अचानक एका वळणावर एक प्रकाशझोत आणी भगवान शंकराची भव्य मूर्ती नजरेस पडली. ती एवढी भव्य होती की तब्बल अर्धा किलोमीटर अंतरावरून सहज दिसून आली. ते रूप पाहिल्यावर आम्ही मंदिराच्या समोर कार पार्क करून लगेच दर्शन घेण्यास निघालो.

As we entered the main entrance of the temple, we saw a magnificent courtyard. On one side there were magnificent halls for the devotees to sit and for other pooja rituals. Most of the citizens were seen sleeping there with their friends while some were seen meditating.

मंदिराचे प्रमुख दारातून आत जाताच आम्हास भव्य असे प्रांगण दिसले. एकाबाजूला भाविकांना बसण्यासाठी आणी इतर पूजा विधी साठी भव्य असे दालन उपलब्ध होते. बरेचसे नागरिक तेथे आपापल्या मित्रमंडळी बरोबर निवांत तर काही जण ध्यानात बसलेले दिसले.

The magnificent idol of Lord Shiva in front should be 25 to 30 feet tall. The image of Mount Kailash was formed around her. Seeing that, we are going to the actual Kailasa mountain and taking darshan of Lord Shiva. It seemed so. A 6 feet high square was made from the ground for that magnificent idol. And one thing I noticed is that this magnificent idol is designed in such a way that when the moon rises, it seems that the actual moon is sitting on the head of Shiva Shankara.

समोरच भगवान शिव शंकराची भव्य अशी मुर्ती तब्बल 25 te 30 फूट असावी. तिच्या सभोवताली कैलाश पर्वताचे प्रतिरूप साकार केले होते. ते पाहून आपण प्रत्यक्ष कैलास पर्वतावर जाऊन भगवान शंकराचे दर्शन घेत आहोत. असे प्रतीत झाले. त्या भव्य मूर्ती साठी जमिनी पासून 6 फूट उंचीचा चौथरा बनविण्यात आला होता. आणी एक गोष्ट माझ्या लक्षात आली की त्या भव्य मूर्तीची रचना अशी केली आहे की चंद्रोदय झाल्यावर प्रत्यक्ष चंद्र शिव शंकराच्या माथ्यावर विराजमान झाल्याचे भासते.

Just below platform of worship, the pindi of Lord Shiva was enthroned with other deities. Devotees were allowed to perform the darshan and anoint him, so many devotees were seen worshiping there.

चौथर्‍याच्या अगदी खाली भगवान शिव शंकराची पिंडी इतर देवा सोबत विराजमान होती. त्याचे प्रत्यक्ष दर्शन आणी अभिषेक करण्याची मुभा भाविकांना दिली जात असल्याने अनेक श्रद्धाळू तेथे पूजा अर्चना करताना दिसले.
