Information about Taj Mahal agara – Mumtaj Mahal travel guide

Taj Mahal is one of the 7 Wonders of the World, an unparalleled architectural masterpiece dating back over 400 years, an epic love story, the grandeur of the Mughal Empire and a fine example of stunning Muslim architecture. According to the true story, this monument was built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Begum after her death. The emperor spent his immense wealth for this work of art.

This Taj Mahal was earlier to be built in the village of Burhannagar. who was the consort of Rani Mumtaz Begum. But the Taj Mahal could not be built there due to insufficient marble reserves, so a replica of the Taj Mahal was built at Burhannagar, which is popularly known as the Black Taj Mahal. Later, Agra, with Yamuna Tiri, was chosen as the site for constructing the Taj Mahal. Where the Taj Mahal stands today.

ताज महाल जगातील 7 आश्चर्यांपैकी एक, तब्बल 400 वर्षां पूर्वीचे एक अजोड वास्तुशिल्प, एका प्रेमाची कहाणी सांगणारी ही अजरामर वास्तु, मुघल साम्राज्याचे वैभव आणी अप्रतिम मुस्लिम वास्तू कलेचे उत्तम उदाहरण या साठी ताज महाल जग प्रसिद्ध आहे. वास्तविक कथा पाहता मुघल बादशाह शाहजहान यांनी आपल्या प्रिय पत्नी मुमताज बेगम हिच्या मृत्यू नंतर तिच्या आठवणीसाठी ही वास्तू बांधण्यात आली. या कलाकृती साठी स्वतःजवळील अमाप संपत्ती बादशहा यांनी खर्च केली. हा ताजमहाल पूर्वी बुऱ्हाणनगर या गावी तयार होणार होता. जे राणी मुमताज बेगम चे माहेर होते. पण अपुऱ्या संगमरवराच्या साठ्या मुळे ताजमहाल तेथे बांधकाम करता आले नाही त्यामुळे बुऱ्हाणनगर येथे ताजमहालाची प्रति क्रुती बनवण्यात आली जी ब्लॅक ताजमहाल म्हणुन प्रसिद्ध आहे. पुढे यमुना तिरी  असलेले आग्रा हे ठिकाण ताजमहाल बांधण्यासाठी निवडण्यात आले. जेथे आज ही ताजमहाल दिमाखात उभा आहे.

Architecture of Tajmahal

As the Taj Mahal is a fine example of Muslim architecture, its imprint can be seen here. The chief architect of the Taj Mahal was Ustad Ahmed Lahori. Under his guidance, Taj Mahal was built entirely from white marble. An area of more than 16 hectares has been reserved. In the middle is the Mughal Garden. Where the reflection of the Taj Mahal is seen in the water reservoir, the sight is amazing under the moonlight on a full moon night. The nice green grass and the landscaping is very beautiful. A mosque has been built in this. The ramparts of the Taj Mahal are similarly carved and constructed of red and white stones.

ताज महल हे एक उत्तम मुस्लिम वास्तु कलेचे उदाहरण असल्याने येथे त्याची छाप दिसते. ताज महालचे मुख्य वास्तू विशारद उस्ताद अहमद लाहोरी हे होते. त्यांच्या मार्गदर्शनाखाली संपूर्ण पांढर्‍या संगमरवरा पासून ताज महाल ही वास्तू बनवण्यात आली आहे. 16 हेक्टर पेक्षा अधिक क्षेत्र आरक्षित केले गेले आहे. मधोमध मुघल गार्डन आहे. जेथे असलेल्या पाणी साठ्यात ताजमहाल चे प्रतिबिंब दिसून येते पौर्णिमेच्या रात्री चंद्रप्रकाशात हा नजारा अप्रतिम दिसतो. तेथील छान हिरवे गवत आणी सुशोभीकरण हे फारच सुंदर आहे. अनेक कारंजे आणी हौद बनवण्यात आले आहेत. यामध्ये मस्जिद ही बनवण्यात आली आहे. ताजमहाल ची तटबंदी ही समान नक्षीकाम केलेली असून ती तांबड्या आणी सफेद दगडांपासून बसवण्यात आली आहे.

Personal experience of Taj mahal agra bike ride and road trip

We visited Agra Taj mahal during our Ladakh to Agara – Mumbai bike ride. After the scenic journey of Ladakh. We 5 bike riders reached Delhi via Manali Chandigarh. A few of us decided to take the next journey to Rajasthan by air. But me and my friend Rakesh wanted to experience more road trip. So we decided to go to Mumbai after seeing the Aagara Taj Mahal by bike.

आम्ही आमच्या लडाख आग्रा – मुंबई या बाईक राईड दरम्यान आग्रा येथे भेट दिली होती. लडाख चा निसर्गरम्य प्रवासानंतर आम्ही 5 दुचाकीस्वार मनाली चंडीगड मार्गे दिल्लीला पोहोचलो. आमच्या पैकी काही जणांनी पुढील प्रवास हा राजस्थान किव्वा विमानाने करायचे ठरवले. पण मी आणी माझा मित्र राकेश आम्हाला अजून रोड ट्रिप अनुभव घ्यायचा होता. त्यामुळे आम्ही बाइकनेच aagara ताजमहाल पाहून मुंबई येथे जाण्याचे ठरवले.

Agra Mumbai bikeride – Road trip experience

As planned, we left from Delhi via Yamuna Express and paid the first ever bike toll at the Yamuna Express highway which is about 170 km long. Speed of other Vhehical were very higher speed. So we ride from 1st lane. There is only one foodcourts we found after 70 to 80 km journey. After a long ride at late night we reached Agra. As soon as we got there, it was as if at every corner a man started asking us if we wanted rooms. One of them started coming with us. When he showed two or three rooms, we got a bit suspicious, so we flatly refused and left. Later we selected a hotel near Taj Mahal according to the map.

ठरल्याप्रमाणे आम्ही दिल्ली येथून निघालो यमुना एक्सप्रेस या मार्गे तब्बल 170 km असलेला यमुना एक्सप्रेस highway येथे bike साठी लागणारा आयुष्यातला पहिला टोल भरला. आणी रात्री उशिरा आम्ही आग्रा येथे पोहोचलो. तेथे पोहोचताच जणू आमच्या पाठी प्रत्येक कोपर्‍यावर एक माणूस रूम हवे आहेत का असे विचारू लागला. त्यापैकी एक आमच्या तर आमच्या सोबत येऊ लागला. त्याने दोन तीन रूम दाखवले त्यावेळी आम्हाला थोडा संशय आला त्यामुळे आम्ही त्यास स्पष्ट नकार देऊन तेथून निघालो. नंतर आम्ही map नुसार ताजमहाल जवळ एक हॉटेल निवडले.

Waking up early in the morning after a good night’s rest, when we went out of our hotel, we saw a beautiful peacock strolling easily in the garden of our hotel. It was indeed a beautiful start to our day. After all the preparations we started towards Tajmahal.

रात्रीच्या विश्रामानंतर सकाळी लवकर उठून जेव्हा आमच्या हॉटेल बाहेर गेलो तेव्हा पाहतो तर काय एक सुंदर मोर आमच्या हॉटेल मधील उद्यानात अगदी सहजपणे हिंडत होता. त्यास पाहुन खरंच आमच्या दिवसाची फार सुंदर सुरुवात झाली. सर्व तयारी करून आम्ही Tajmahal च्या दिशेने निघालो.

Due to the high level of security at the Taj Mahal, everyone is allowed inside only after a thorough check-up. Foreign tourists Rs. 1000 is charged as an entry fee. From the outside there is no idea of the interior yet. But when we enter through the main door, we are in for a surprise. The area and madhomadh spread over a huge space.

ताजमहाल येथे उत्तम सुरक्षा रक्षा असल्याने प्रत्येकास पूर्ण तपासणी नंतरच आत सोडले जाते. भारतीय नागरिकांना Rs. 50 ते 250 येवढे शुल्क आकारले जाते. तर विदेशी पर्यटकांना Rs. 1000 येवढी प्रवेश फी आकारली जाते. बाहेरून आतील जागेचा काहीही अंदाज yet नाही. मात्रं जेव्हा आपण मुख्य दरवाज्यातून आत जातो तेव्हा आश्चर्याचा धक्काच बसल्याशिवाय राहत नाही. प्रचंड मोठ्या जागेत विस्तारलेला परिसर आणी मध्य भागी असलेले ताजमहल हे स्वर्गातील एखाद्या वास्तू प्रमाणे दिसत होते.

After seeing the Taj Mahal, we left for Mumbai in the afternoon. This time we started our next journey on the national highway Mumbai Agra. There were many domestic animals on the road. Mainly, cows and calves. So our speed became slowed down even more. At night we had dinner near a dhaba in Madhya Pradesh and some people told us that it was a dangerous and robbery place. So we found a good place some distance away near another dhaba and stayed in a tent. Many new acquaintances were made during this road trip. Under his guidance we were able to complete this journey successfully. We reached Mumbai after traveling for two and a half days.

ताजमहाल पाहून झाल्यावर आम्ही दुपारी मुंबईला जाण्यासाठी निघालो. या वेली आम्ही मुंबई आग्रा या राष्ट्रीय महामार्गाने पुढील प्रवासाला निघालो. रस्त्यावर बरीच पाळीव जनावरे होती. मुख्यत्वे करून, गाई आणी वासरे. त्यामुळे आमचा वेग अजून मंदावला. रात्री आम्ही मध्यप्रदेश येथील एका ढाब्या जवळ जेवण केले त्यावेळी काही आम्हास धोकादायक आणी लूटमार होणारी जागा सांगितली. त्यामुळे आम्ही थोडा अंतरावर चांगली जागा पाहुन तंबू मध्ये राहिलो. या रोड ट्रिप दरम्यान बर्‍याच नवीन ओळखी झाल्या. त्यांच्या मार्गदर्शनाखाली आम्ही हा प्रवास यशस्वी रित्या पूर्ण करू शकलो. असा अडीच दिवसाचा प्रवास करत आम्ही मुंबईला पोहोचलो.

  • Entry ticket of Taj Mahal Rs. 50 and Rs. 250
  • Rs. 1000/- for foreigner.
  • Entry time Early morning to 5:00 pm
  • Shoe cover compulsory to visit in white building
  • Three Gate East, west and south
  • Total 16 Gardens and 53 fountain
  • Yamunar river view can be seen fro from Tajmahal
  • Camara is not allowed inside the main building
  • Tajmahal is closed on Friday only Muslims allowed for namaj
  • There are many people want to buy some things, they connect with each other on commission basis be careful.
  • Beware while road trip, many cows and other domestic sat in middel of the road on Mumbai Agra highway. So drive safly.
  • Local People told us that Guna is bit denger area for night so avoide night travel specily through this area.
  • Food Courts: – Food courts available near to Tajmahal, famous sweets of agara is Petha
  • Accommodation google links
  • Hotels are available range starting from Rs. 500 to 4000
  • Try to do hotel booking online. Current booking is not a good idea in Agara.
  • Taj Hotel (5 Star) is also available near Taj mahal
