Different Architecture of Sangameshwar temple Saswad
We saw many temples are located on one bank of the confluence. But this temple is a unique example of architecture. This is because the Karha river flows on one side of this temple and the Jambli river flows on the other side. Both these rivers come close to the steps of the Sangameshwara temple and become dedicated to each other. This means that this temple is built on an island between two rivers.
आज पर्यंत अनेक मंदिरे पहिली ती संगमाच्या एका तीरावर असतात. पण हे मंदिर स्थापत्य कलेच आगळेवेगळे उदाहरण आहे. याचे कारण म्हणजे या मंदिराच्या एका बाजूला karha नदी वाहते आणी दुसर्‍या बाजूला जांभळी नदी वाहते. या दोनही नद्या संगमेश्वर मंदिराच्या पायर्‍या जवळ येऊन एकमेकांना समर्पित होतात. याचाच अर्थ दोन नद्यांच्या मधील बेटावर हे मंदिर बनवलेले आहे.
The temple should be around 700 to more than 1000 years old. The structure of the temple made by Black stone, looks carved. The main thing is that this temple is built on the confluence of the river and its foundation stands with the same strength even though it is surrounded by water. A symbol of Hemadpanti architecture, the temple is surrounded by ancient crafts and stone carvings. Therefore, the pillars, gabhara and dome of the temple look very attractive. An iron bridge has been constructed to reach the temple. You can enjoy amazing views of this temple from the front roadside bridge.
हे मंदिर साधारणतः 700 ते 1000 हून अधिक जुने असावे. मंदिराची रचना कोरीवकाम केलेली दिसते. मुख्य म्हणजे नदीच्या संगमावर वसलेले हे मंदिर आणी त्याचा पाया आजूबाजूला जलसंपर्कात असूनही तेवढय़ाच मजबुती ने उभा आहे. हेमाडपंती वास्तूकलेचे प्रतीक हे मंदिर पुरातन कलाकुसर आणी दगडावरची कोरीव नक्षीकाम केलेली सभोवतालची भिंत. त्यामुळे मंदिराचे खांब, गाभारा व मंदिराचा घुमट फार आकर्षित दिसतात. मंदिरात जाण्यासाठी एक लोखंडी पूल बांधण्यात आला आहे. समोरच्या पुलावरून या मंदिराचे दृश्य अप्रतिम दिसते.
Personal Experience of Sangameshwar temple as travel Guide bike ride
As soon as the bike reached Saswad through Mumbai, I first visited the Samadhi of Sant Sopan Dev Maharaj, after that I asked some people about the famous places in Saswad, one of the places they said was Sangameshwar Temple one of the place to visit near Pune and Purandar fort.
मुंबई होऊन बाइक ने सासवड ला पोहोचताच प्रथम संत सोपान देव महाराजांच्या समाधीला भेट दिली, त्यानंतर मी तेथील काही व्यक्तिंना सासवड येथील प्रसिद्ध स्थानांची माहिती विचारली, त्यानी सांगितलेल्या ठिकाणांपैकी एक ठिकाण संगमेश्वर मंदिर हे होते.
There is an open space for parking at some distance from the temple. After parking the bike there, we headed towards the temple. A strong iron bridge has been constructed to reach the temple. After crossing the bridge we reached the base of the temple. After climbing a few steps from there, one comes to the main temple.
मंदिरा पासून काही अंतरावर पार्किंग साठी मोकळी जागा आहे. तेथे बाइक पार्किंग करून मंदिराच्या दिशेने निघालो. मंदिरात जाण्यासाठी मजबूत असा लोखंडी पूल बनवण्यात आला आहे. तो पार करत असताना आपण एक नदी पार करतो. पूल पार केल्यावर आम्ही मंदिराच्या पायथ्याशी पोहोचलो. तेथून काही पायर्‍या वर चढून गेल्यावर मुख्य मंदिर येते.
On the way to the main temple, two Nandi bull of equal size are seen. One is outside the temple and the other is inside. From there we enter the main core. The reason for two Nandis in one temple could not be known. Out of them, Nandi is in a slightly dilapidated condition. It seems to be ancient.
मुख्य मंदिरात जाताना दोन समान आकाराचे नंदीबैल दिसतात. एक मंदिराच्या बाहेरच्या बाजूस आहे आणी दुसरा आतील बाजूस. तेथून आपण मुख्य गाभाऱ्यात प्रवेश करतो. एका मंदिरात दोन नंदी याचे काही कारण कळू शकले नाही. त्यापैकी बाहेरील बाजूस असलेला नंदी थोडा जीर्ण अवस्थेत आहे. त्यावरून तो पुरातन असावा असे दिसते.
From there entered the temple. And a beautiful auditorium came into view. The overall weight of the temple stood on six straight stone pillars. In front, a dim light appeared from inside the temple. A marble turtle is carved in the center of the pillars. It must have been made recently. The overall temple renovation work begins. So it is certain that this temple will be restored in a few days.
तेथून मंदिराच्या आत प्रवेश केला. आणी सुंदर असा सभामंडप दृष्टीस आला. सरळ रेषेत असलेले सहा दगडी खांबावर मंदिराचा डोलारा उभा होता. समोरच मंदिराच्या गाभार्‍यातून मंद अशी रोषणाई दिसू लागली. खांबांच्या मध्य भागी संगमरवरी कासवं बनवले आहे. ते अलीकडच्या काळात बनवले असावे. एकंदर मंदिराचे डागडुजीचे काम सुरू होते. त्यामुळे काही दिवसात या मंदिराचा जीर्णोद्धार होईल हे निश्चित.
In the core of the temple, there was a beautiful pindi of Shiva Shankar and the decoration of flowers on it looked very beautiful. Because of that, a very good spiritual atmosphere was created in the core. After having Darshan of Shiva Shankar, we left for the next journey.
मंदिराच्या गाभाऱ्यात सुंदर अशी शिव शंकराची पिंडी आणी त्यावर फुलांनी केलेली सजावट अगदी सुंदर दिसत होती. त्या मुळे गाभाऱ्यात फार छान आध्यात्मिक वातावरण निर्माण झाले होते. शिव शंकराचे दर्शन घेऊन आम्ही पुढील प्रवासाला निघालो.
