Personal experience of road trip Mumbai to Goverdhan Eco village

Had heard a lot about the magnificence of Govardhan Eco Village Wada and ISKCON so wanted to go there. A friend of mine stayed here for two days. But since we didn’t have that much time, we planned a one-day trip. After leaving Mumbai in the morning we reached Manor via Mumbai Ahmedabad. From there, turn left on the road leading to Wada. After a short while we took a small road on the left side and reached to Govardhan Eco Village Wada.

गोवर्धन इको विलेज वाडा आणी इस्कॉन च्या भव्यतेबद्दल फार ऐकले होते त्यामुळे तेथे जाण्याची खूप इच्छा होती. माझे एक मित्र येथे दोन दिवस राहुन आले होते. पण तेवढा वेळ नसल्याने आम्ही एकदिवसीय सहलीचा प्लान केला. मुंबई वरून सकाळी निघून मुंबई अहमदाबाद मार्गे आम्ही मनोर च्या जवळ पोहोचलो. तेथून वाडा येथे जाणार्‍या रोड वर डाव्याबाजूला वळलो. थोड्या वेळातच पुन्हा डाव्या बाजूला गोवर्धन इको विलेज येथे जाण्यासाठी असणार्‍या एका छोट्या रस्त्याने आम्ही गोवर्धन इको विलेज वाडा येथे पोहोचलो.

After entering through the main gate, there is ample parking outside and registration office on another side. Where persons who come to stay at Govardhan Eco Village are recorded. After that it is released from the management car at the scheduled place. As we did not intend to stay, only our vehicles were registered. Next we headed towards the main temple. Seeing the green nature around, the mind became very happy.

मुख्य गेट मधून आत आल्यावर बाहेरच्या बाजूस पार्किंगची उत्तम सोय आहे आणी तेथेच एकाबाजूला नोंदणी कार्यालय आहे. जेथे गोवर्धन इको विलेज येथे राहायला आलेल्या व्यक्तींची नोंद केली जाते. त्या नंतर नियोजित स्थळी व्यवस्थापनाच्या गाडी मधून सोडले जाते. आमचा राहण्याचा बेत नसल्याने आमच्या फक्तं वाहनांची नोंद करण्यात आली. पुढे आम्ही मुख्य मंदिराच्या दिशेने निघालो. सभोवताली हिरवागार निसर्ग पाहून मन एकदम प्रफुल्लित झाले.

Vrindavan Behari Temple – वृंदावन बेहारी मंदिर

We found Vrindavan Behari Temple as soon as entering Govardhan Eco village. The construction of this temple is very attractive. On the ground floor there is a sales center office, selling books and some paintings. And from there a beautiful and spacious marble staircase leads to a grand hall. Opposite is a temple with wonderful craftsmanship of Vrindavan Bihari. which is dedicated to a form of Lord Radha Krishna.

The sermon is delivered in the grand hall in front. Thousands of devotees and followers sit together here and enjoy conversation on Geetasara and Upadesha. A seated idol of Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, the founder of ISKCON, is installed right in front of the temple.

गोवर्धन इको गावात प्रवेश केल्यानंतर सर्व प्रथम वृंदावन बेहारी मंदिर. या मंदिराचे बांधकाम फार आकर्षक आहे. तळमजल्यावर पुस्तक तसेच काही चित्रं आदी वस्तूंचे विक्री केंद्र आहे. आणी तेथून एका बाजूस सुंदर आणी प्रशस्त संगमरवरी शिड्या चालून आपणास भव्य अश्या दालनात प्रवेश मिळतो. समोरच वृंदावन बिहारी यांचे अप्रतिम कलाकुसर असलेले मंदिर आहे. जे भगवान राधा कृष्णा च्या वृंदावन बेहारी रूपाला समर्पित आहे. समोर असलेल्या भव्य दालनात प्रवचन केले जाते. हजारो श्रद्धाळू आणी अनुयायी येथे एकत्र बसुन गीतासार आणी उपदेश पर संभाषणाचा आनंद घेतात. मंदिराच्या अगदी समोर इस्कॉन चे संस्थापक भक्तिवेदांत स्वामी प्रभुपाद यांची बैठी मूर्ती स्थापित केली आहे.

Madan Mohan temple – मदन मोहन मंदिर

From the Vrindavan Behari Temple, walk straight to the left and you will see a beautifully set green grass covered park. It must have been built on a hill of some sort. The Madan Mohan Temple is a grand structure in the center of which looks like a missile. which is dedicated to the Madan Mohan form of Lord Radha Krishna. One has to climb steps to reach the temple. A circuit has been made around the temple. This temple is open only at certain times of the day.
