जालियन वाला बाग म्हणजे भारतीय इतिहासातील रक्त रंजीत पान. एका सुंदर बागेचे रूपांतर आपल्या जिवाची आहुती देणार्‍या निरपराधांच्या शेवटच्या क्षणांचा आणी इंग्रज अधिकारी याच्या क्रूरतेचा साक्षीदार असे झाले. 1919 साली स्वातंत्र्य सेनानी श्री लाला लजपत राय यांच्या अध्यक्षतेखाली झालेल्या पूर्वनियोजित सभेस इंग्रज राजवटीने नेमक्या वेळी विरोध केला. तरीही त्या सभेत हजारो नागरिकांनी त्यांच्या कुटुंबासह भाग घेतला. त्यावेळी हजारोंच्या संख्येने लोक येथे जमा झाले. या बागेला येण्या-जाण्यास फक्तं एकच दार होते.

सभा सुरू असल्याची माहिती जनरल डायर याला मिळताच त्याने आपले सैन्य घेऊन जालियन वाला बाग येथे घेराव घातला. आणी भर सभेत बेछूट गोळीबार करण्याचे आदेश दिले. ज्यामुळे तेथे असलेल्या सर्व व्यक्ती सैरावैरा पळू लागल्या. काही गोळ्या लागून तर काही गर्दीत चेघरुन जखमी झाले. काहीनी तेथील विहिरीत उड्या घेतल्या, शेकडो लोक मृत्युमुखी पडले आणी हजारो जखमी झाले. अश्या या नरसंहाराचा एक दुःखदायक प्रसंग जिथे घडला. त्या म्हणजे जालियन वाला बाग या ठिकाणाला. स्वातंत्र्यासाठी दिलेल्या आहुतीचे प्रतीक मानून, भारत सरकारने या ठिकाणाला राष्ट्रीय स्मारकाचा दर्जा दिला आहे.
Personal Experience to Visit Jallianwala Bagh road trip
We visited Jallian Wala Bagh during our Leh Ladakh bike ride. This place is just behind the famous Golden Temple in Amritsar, a religious site of the Sikh brothers. So after Golden Temple first we visited Jallianwala Bagh. We entered Jallianwala Bagh through a narrow alleyway through a gate to enter.
आम्ही आमच्या लेह लडाख बाईक राइड दरम्यान जालियन वाला बाग या ठिकाणी भेट दिली होती. अमृतसर येथील प्रसिद्ध सुवर्ण मंदिर या शीख बांधवांच्या धार्मिक स्थळाच्या अगदी मागील बाजूस हे ठिकाण आहे. त्यामुळे सुवर्ण मंदिर पहिल्या नंतर आम्ही जालियनवाला बाग येथे भेट दिली. आत जाण्यासाठी एका दरवाज्यातून निमुळत्या अश्या गल्लीतून आम्ही जालियनवाला बाग मध्ये प्रवेश केला.

प्रवेश केल्यानंतर सर्व प्रथम आम्ही, जनरल डायर जेथून गोळ्या झाडल्या होत्या त्याठिकाणी पोहोचलो. तेथे आठवणी साठी एक त्रिकोणी पिरॅमिड् बनवले गेले आहे. येथून जालियनवाला बाग संपूर्ण दृष्टीस येते. त्यापुढे समोरच्या बाजूस एक इमारत आहे. त्या समोरची पाटी वाचून आम्ही थक्कच झालो. तेथे लिहिले होते की समोरील भिंतीवर गोळ्या लागल्या होत्या त्याजागी ती वास्तू तिशीच्या तशी निशाणी सोबत जतन करून ठेवली होती.

We started our journey from Mumbai by Air, We transport our bike through Gati currier till Chandigarh. From Chandigarh we started our Leh Laddakh bike ride, Amritsar was our first destination. We had reached there at late evening booked hotel just opposite Golden temple. Enjoyed Lungar food at 1:00 Am at Golden temple. Next day morning we visited to Jallianwala baug.
