Raje Rai math Akkalkot information and Story

Raje Rai was the king of Hyderabad state. He was suffering from leprosy like disease for some days. He tried many doctors, hakims, and home havans but to no avail. Finally they reached the pilgrimage site of Gangapur. While worshiping there, he realized that Akkalkoti Dattatreya’s lord Samarth Avatar was residing there. Because of that, Raja Rai came to Akkalkot. At that time Sundara Bai was a servant of Swami. He requested Swami to cure Raje Rai’s disease. At that time, Swamini asked to consume the juice of neem leaves and blessed her to get rid of the disease. Raje Rai faithfully performed the prescribed remedy and the disease was cured. After getting rid of the disease, he tried to offer Sahastra gold mudra to Swami. But at that time Swami did not accept it and ordered him to build a monastery and do public service.

राजे राय हे हैद्राबाद संस्थानाचे राजा होते. काही दिवसांपासून ते कुष्ठरोग सारख्या व्याधी मुळे पीडित होते. त्यानी बरेच वैद्य, हकीम, आणी होम हवन केले पण काही उपयोग झाला नाही. शेवटी ते गाणगापूर या तीर्थक्षेत्री पोहोचले. तेथे पूजा करीत असताना त्यांना अक्कलकोटी दत्तात्रेयाचा स्वामी समर्थ अवतार वास करीत असल्याचे  समजले. त्यांमुळे राजा राय हे अक्कलकोट येथे आले. त्याकाळी सुंदरा बाई स्वामींच्या सेवेकरी होत्या. त्यांनी स्वामींना राजे राय यांची व्याधी दूर करण्याची विनंती केली. त्यावेळी स्वामिनी कडुलिंबाच्या पाल्याचे रस युक्त सेवन करण्यास सांगितले आणी सोबत व्याधी मुक्त होण्याचा आशिर्वाद दिला. राजे राय यांनी श्रद्धा पूर्वक सांगीतलेला उपाय केला आणी व्याधी मुक्त झाले. व्याधी मुक्त झाल्यावर त्यांनी स्वामींना सहस्त्र सुवर्ण मुद्रा देऊ करण्याचा प्रयत्न केला. पण त्यावेळी स्वामींनी त्या न स्विकारता त्यांना एक मठ बांधण्याचा आणी जनसेवा करण्याचा आदेश दिला.

Padukas of Lord who cure for all diseases – सर्व व्याधी निवारक स्वामींच्या पादुका

As per Swami’s order, Raje Rai completed the construction of a fine monastery at Akkalkot. Padukas were needed to install in it. So, some skilled marble carvers were called and the footprints of the real master were engraved on the marble stone. Auspicious symbols such as conch wheel were carved along with it. Swami was pleased to see his faith and intimacy. And he gave a boon to Raje Rai that whoever performed the Abhishekam pilgrimage performed on the Padukas by Swami Bhakta with full faith and spirit would be freed from all ailments. Paduka Raje Raya Math of all these disease-preventing masters has been established.

स्वामींच्या आदेशानुसार राजे राय यांनी उत्तम असा मठ अक्कलकोट येथे बनवून पूर्ण केला. त्या मध्ये स्थापित करण्यासाठी पादुकांची गरज होती. त्यामुळे संगमरगरावर कोरीव काम करणारे काही कुशल कामगार बोलावून प्रत्यक्ष स्वामीच्या पायाचे ठसे त्या संगमरवरी पाषाणावर उमटवून घेतले. सोबत शंख चक्र अशा प्रकारची शुभ प्रतिकचिन्हे कोरली गेली. त्यांची ही श्रद्धा आणी आत्मीयता पाहून स्वामी प्रसन्न झाले. आणी त्यांनी राजे राय यांना वरदान दिले की, जो कोणी स्वामीभक्त या पादुकांवर केलेला अभिषेकाचे तीर्थग्रहण संपूर्ण विश्वासाने आणि मनोभावे करेल तो सर्व व्याधींपासून मुक्त होईल. अशा या सर्व व्याधी निवारक स्वामींच्या पादुका राजे राय मठात स्थापित करण्यात आल्या आहेत.

Belanath Maharaj Samadhi

His devotees felt that Belanath Maharaj was a Siddha Purusha and a replica of Saibaba. Hence his idol in the form of Sai Baba of Shirdi is installed near his Samadhi places. At first glance we thought it was an idol of Saibaba of Shirdi, but on closer inspection it was only a face mask of Belanath Maharaj. This Samadhi place is just in front of Raje Rai Mutt.

बेलानाथ महाराज हे एक सिद्ध पुरुष असून ते साईबाबा यांचे प्रतिरूप असल्याची त्यांच्या भक्तांची भावना होती. त्यामुळे त्यांची शिर्डीच्या साईबाबांच्या स्वरूपातील मूर्ती त्यांच्या समाधी स्थानांजवळ  स्थापित केली आहे. प्रथम पहाता आम्हास ती शिर्डीच्या साईबाबांची मूर्ती भासली, जवळुन पाहिल्यावर त्यांची केवळ चेहरेपट्टी बेलानाथ महाराज यांची होती. हे समाधी स्थान राजे राय मठाच्या अगदी समोरील बाजूस आहे.

Personal experience to visit Raje Rai math Akkalkot

We visited here for the first time during our visit to Akkalkot. You can reach here by shared auto from Akkalkot Bus Stand, Samadhi Temple and Banyan Tree Temple. Entering through the main entrance of the monastery, one can see a magnificent building. There is a beautiful monastery of Sri Swami Samarth in the middle. In which there is a wonderful idol of Swami Samarth adorned with gold. Chaitanya Paduka of Swami is placed in front of the idol. The best example of ingenious architectural design, where If we don’t bend down and look at the idol of Swami through the door. So you don’t see Swami Murthy in full form. This means that keep your ego outside and bow down at the feet of Swami and awaken the feeling of complete surrender.

आम्ही येथे आमच्या अक्कलकोट भेटी दरम्यान पहिल्यांदा भेट दिली होती. अक्कलकोट बस स्टँड, समाधी मंदिर तसेच वटवृक्ष मंदिरापासून शेअर ऑटो करून आपण येथे पोहोचू शकता. मठाच्या मुख्य प्रवेशद्वारातून आत प्रवेश केल्यावर एक भव्य इमारत नजरेस येते. तेथे मध्य भागी श्री स्वामी समर्थांचा सुंदर मठ आहे. ज्यामधे सुवर्ण विभूषित स्वामी समर्थांची अप्रतिम मूर्ती आहे. मूर्ती समोर स्वामींच्या चैतन्य पादुका ठेवल्या आहेत. कल्पक वास्तू रचनेचे सर्वात उत्तम उदाहरण, जोवर आपण वाकून दारातून स्वामीच्या मूर्ती कडे पाहत नाही. तोवर आपणास जणू स्वामी मुर्ती पूर्ण स्वरुपात दिसत नाही. याचाच अर्थ आपला अहम पणा, मी पणा बाहेर ठेऊन स्वामीच्या चरणी नतमस्तक होऊन पूर्ण समर्पण भावना जागृत झाल्याशिवाय राहणार नाही.

Breakfast and lunch are provided free of charge by the management of the Math. It is financed by the donations received by the monastery. राजे राय मठामध्ये राहण्याची उत्तम व्यवस्था करून दिली जाते. भाविक त्यांच्या आवश्यकते नुसार Ac non ac रूम अगदी कमी खर्चात मिळवू शकतात. मठाच्या व्यवस्थापनाच्या द्वारे नाश्ता आणी जेवणाची मोफत सोय केली जाते. याचा खर्च मठात येणार्‍या देणग्यांतून केला जातो. येथे येणारे बरेच भाविक पुढील अनेक भाविकांची जेवण्याची सोय करून जातात. म्हणतात ना अन्न दान हे श्रेष्ठ दान.
