Vitthal Rakhumai Temple at Dahisar is famous as Kashi Math. The main reason for this is that all the maintenance here is done by GSB community i.e. Gaud Saraswat Brahmins. The head office of this organization is located in Varanasi. Dedicated to the Guru Shishya tradition, this center is one of the thirty centres of Kashi Maths in India. As many as 21 Shihsya’s have become Gurus in this Guru disciple tradition. They are also referred to as Mathadipati. Mainly Vaishnava means Lord Shri Vishnu and his Dashavatar. Rishi Shrestha Maharshi Vyas is the main deity. Pundalik were serene and pure devotee of Lord Vitthal. for whom the almighty Vithal stood on the brick for twenty-eight yugas years is actually an incarnation of Lord Vishnu who is worshiped in this Archana according to scriptures. Many festivals are celebrated here in connection to this fascinating linked history.

दहिसर येथील विठ्ठल रखुमाई मंदिर हे काशी मठ म्हणुन ही प्रसिद्ध आहे. याचे कारण म्हणजे येथील सर्व देखभाल Gsb community म्हणजेच गौड सारस्वत ब्राह्मण यांच्या मार्फत केली जाते. या संस्थेचे प्रमुख कार्यालय वाराणसी येथे आहे.  गुरू शिष्य परंपरेला समर्पित असलेले हे केंद्र म्हणजे काशी मठांच्या देश भारतातील तीसहून अधिक केंद्रा पैकी एक आहे. या गुरू शिष्य परंपरेत तब्बल 21 गुरू होऊन गेले असून त्यांना मठादिपती असेही संबोधले जाते. मुख्यत्वेकरून वैष्णव म्हणजेच  भगवान श्री विष्णु आणी त्यांचे दशावतार तसेच. ऋषी श्रेष्ठ महर्षी व्यास यांना मुख्य दैवत मानले जाते. आपला प्रिय भक्त पुंडलिक यासाठी युगे अठ्ठावीस विटेवर उभा राहिलेले भगवान विठ्ठल म्हणजे साक्षात श्री विषणूंचा अवतार ज्याची अगदी शास्त्रोक्त पूजा अर्चना येथे केली जाते. तसेच अनेक उत्सव येथे साजरे केले जातात.

Architecture of Sri Vittal Rakhumai Mandir दहिसर

The entire monastery is a grand structure of about five floor and a huge space of more than fifty square feet. In which there is Shree Vitthal Rakhumai temple on the ground floor. The main temple can be entered by climbing a flight of steps usually ten to fifteen feet above the ground. At the door itself there is a great Vrindavan and pillars on which the idol of Balkrishna and Vitthal Rakhumai is engraved. On entering the temple through the main entrance, a grand auditorium is visible. After entering, right in the front we can see hypnotic, gorgeous and striking black stone idol of Shri Vitthal Rakhumai, this will leave you in goose bumps for sure. On the left side of the temple there is a wooden cradle and on the right there is a beautiful shrine of Sri Satyanarayan, followed by murals of many saints around the auditorium.

संपूर्ण मठ सुमारे पाच माळ्यांची भव्य वास्तू आहे. तब्बल पन्नासहून अधिक चौरस फूट इतका मोठी जागा त्या मध्ये तळमजल्यावर श्री विठ्ठल rakhumai मंदिर आहे. जमिनी पासून साधारणपणे दहा ते पंधरा फूट उंचीवर पायर्‍या चढून मुख्य मंदिरात प्रवेश घेता येतो. दारातच उत्तम वृंदावन आणी स्तंभ आहेत. ज्यावर बाळकृष्ण आणी विठ्ठल rakhumai यांची मूर्ती कोरलेली आहे. मुख्य प्रवेशद्वारातून मंदिरात प्रवेश केल्यावर एक भव्य सभामंडप दृष्टीस पडतो. आणी अगदी समोर  श्री विठ्ठल rakhumai यांची काळ्या पाषाणाची सुंदर मूर्ती दृष्टीस येते. मंदिराच्या डाव्या बाजूस लाकडी पाळणा आणी उजव्या बाजूस श्री सत्यनारायण यांचा सुबक देव्हारा आहे. सभामंडपाचे सभोवताली अनेक संतांची भित्तीचित्रे रेखलेली आहे.

Personal Experience

So how did I discover this place? During my train journey to Virar, I often use to see this temple, and out of the curiosity I made up my mind to visit this beautiful place. One Sunday morning we went to explore this temple. From Mumbai, the road to Vitthal Temple is on the left side near Dahisar Check Point. There are two Vitthal temples at Dahisar, one to the east and the other to the west; so it would be appropriate to ask Kashi Math to reach here.

मुंबई मधून विरारच्या दिशेने रेल्वेने जाताना बरेच वेळा विठ्ठल मंदिराची इमारत दृष्टीस पडली होती. त्यामुळे काहीश्या कुतूहलाने तेथे जाण्याची ओढ लागली. आणी एका रविवारच्या सकाळी आम्ही विठ्ठल rakhumaee मंदिरास भेट देण्यास निघालो. मुंबई अहमदाबाद महामार्ग कडून दहिसर चेक नाक्याजवळ डाव्या बाजूस विठ्ठल मंदिरास जाण्याचा मार्ग आहे. दहिसर येथे दोन विठ्ठल मंदिरे आहे. एक पूर्वेस आणी दुसरे पश्चिमेस त्यामुळे येथे पोहोचण्यासाठी काशी मठ असे विचारणे योग्य ठरेल.

After reaching Kashi Math, we found ample of parking space in the adjacent grounds. Capacity of 100 cars parking . Vitthal Rakhumai temple is on the first floor. The stairs leading up to the temple and the Tulsi Vrindavan you will come across with wonderful piece of artwork. We were blessed to experience the on-going Abhishek of Sri Vitthal Rakhumai, We took prior permission from the temple priest. so we were able to capture divine pictures of Lord Vithal.

काशी मठ विचारत आम्ही मठा जवळ पोहोचलो. शेजारी असलेल्या विस्तीर्ण मैदानात उत्तम पार्किंगची सोय आहे. तब्बल 100 कार्स एकवेळी पार्क करता येतील एव्हढी मोठी जागा उपलब्ध आहे. पार्किंगच्या शेजारीच भव्य अशी पाच मजली काशी मठाची इमारत आहे. ज्याच्या पहिल्या मजल्यावर विठ्ठल rakhumai मंदिर स्थापित केलेले आहे. मंदिरात जाण्यासाठी असलेल्या शिड्या आणी मध्ये असलेले तुळशी वृंदावन एक अप्रतिम कलाकृती चे दर्शन घडते. मंदिरात पोहोचलो त्यावेळी श्री विठ्ठल rakhumai यांची पूजा आणी अभिषेक चालू होता. त्या वेळी मंदिरातील पुजाऱ्याच्या परवानगीने आम्ही काही फोटो काढू शकलो. संपूर्ण मंदिराचा गाभारा हा येथील पुजार्‍याने मंत्र घोषाने दुमदुमून गेला होता. अप्रतिम वास्तू, योग्य आध्यात्मिक वातावरण, शास्त्रोक्त पूजा विधी आणी उत्तम व्यवस्थापन याचा अनुभव आम्हास घेता आला.
